I dont want zeke to fail. I just want him to do his job better. Understand the difference?

I can post stats showing how average at best Zeke is at his job. Can you post stats proving that about Dak? Good luck with that one.
Zeke's yards per carry have pretty much been the same his whole career. The only thing that's changed is his carry count. Less carries less yards. So you're actually hating Zeke because Pollard has started to play more. That's crazy!

If, if, if. Had Brown not fumble, I think we score a touchdown. Compared to the last 4 wins, Dak did take us to new heights this season...thus far. We scored more touchdowns than we did all season. More yards per attempt all season. So in a sense...he did take us to a higher level. Why is it so hard for many of you to give Dak props? Or, why is it so hard for you to support Dak? If you support the team, you support EVERY player on the team. Address your elephant in the room.
We've seen Dak play. We know what to expect.
Just like we know to expect you guys to blame a loss against the Bears on Ezekiel Elliott being injured- despite assuring all of us that Dak would make the difference when he returned.
It's not that we don't want to cheer for Dak. He just doesn't offer much to cheer for. He likes the hype, but knows how to let others take the blame when he fails.

Wow, a fan of Zeke that is completely uninformed? What else is new? Your hero has pretty much been on a steady decline in YPC since his rookie year.

Then of course there is the eye test, which you obviously fail every time.

He's a thumper. Thumpers need at least 18 carries a game to wear down a defense. But no worries, his carry count will go up next year when they let Pollard walk.

He's over the hill. But I do admire his toughness. Poor guy. Oh how the mighty have fallen. 3.8 ypc? OUCH!!!

What a thread. lol. Dak is our QB for awhile so we must get used to it, however...

There is a thought that those who laugh loudest laugh last. The more Dak get praised and does not meet that praise the more it is going to hurt his fans that prop him up so hard.

The posters that think he is not the one that can bring the Boyz a SB will also be ashamed for not believing he will. My opinion is that I'm not convinced he will or can, but that is just me. However...I do believe in this team and always will, I mean, lol, it's been this long!

One thing about this game is that it is not static, it does not always stay the same. It is dynamic, meaning it changes from day to day, hour to hour, minute by minute second to second. What the team or QB did good in the past does not mean a thing going forward. The stats are just fluff, the media, the coaches, players all have their opinion and that is good, but it does not mean a thing in the grand scheme of things....just fluff.

There is no right or wrong, there is no black or white, it's just a gray area for now because the future has not happened.

Carry on with this thread, I learn lots of stuff about our fans. Lots of right fighters! lol. Time for some gitfiddle...and a hit of devils weed, the band is coming over for some music practice.

(by the way, i posted one of our blues songs on this forum and reality kicked me to the curb for a week!...lol). Must have made him mad.

It was your example, not mine. It's also an unfair observation. Dallas does have talent that a guy like Rodgers could elevate. He's proven he can do more with less throughout his career. Dak has not. It's easy to point to offensive output numbers, but Dak has NEVER put up consistently good numbers without a good, proven number 1 receiver.

This season will be very telling regarding the abilities of QB1. I hope he lights up the scoreboard, but the only sample size we have of Dak with "inferior" talent was right after Dez left and before Coop came in, week 1 of this season, and last week. The results have left much to be desired, and many around here can't seem to grasp this concept. Many even spent the entire off-season defending this talent pool at receiver, but have backtracked and labeled them inferior after observing the struggles in the passing game.

Which one is it? Do the receivers suck, or are the quarterbacks having a tough time elevating what's around them? There's no positive answer either way. Hope it gets fixed, but there's no sense in defending anyone with the money and resources that have been dumped into that passing game until it does.

IMHO, it’s a combination of factors—the proverbial ‘death by a thousand cuts’. A little bit OL (injury, OL coaching), a little bit on the OC, a little bit less talent at WR, a little of the QB1 in the 10-15 range, a little bit of circumstance, etc.—all combine to alter the PPG.

[QUOTE="CowboyRoy, post: 12227867, member: 34847" It’s wise not to overreact to one game..[/QUOTE]

Wise advice.

So you attack Zeke and belittle him.....and that's okay....but when members do it to Dak you lose your s--t....talk about the biggest hypocrite on the board.

I'm willing to bet not many on here thought they'd be a better team considering they lost ACoop, Randy Gregory and Cedric Wilson. We can say whatifs on many things during the game. I don't know if they are a better team or not but we're not halfway through the season and we've only played a game and a half with our starting QB. Maybe if some of you stop being Debbie Downers and support the team, things wouldn't look so bad.

The people who are accusing long time cowboy fans of being Debbie Downers sure do keep Jerrah rich. It's been how long since we been to an NFC Championship? And we are supposed to keep thinking things are fine, think positive, don't complain.

Maybe, but the OC is the same and supporting cast are very comparable outside of WR. Same RBs. McGovern over Williams seems to be a wash. Smith over Smith may be a downgrade, but Tyler has played admirably..doesn't seem like Tyron would make a 10 pt difference at this point in his career. Difficult to not question the FO's decisions at wideout this off-season.

Truthfully, I don't care about PPG. I just want to see the offense do enough to win games. They did this against Detroit, and I'm not knocking Dak for that game by any means. He got the job done. Proud of him, seriously. He just has a not so impressive track record (historically and recently) without being surrounded by an all-world supporting cast and I worry that he won't come back around as the guy we saw at the start of last season, and throughout Amari Cooper's tenure on Dallas. Given the amount of cap space he takes up, this is concerning short and long term. I hope he proves me wrong. Wouldn't be the first time he did.

The "true fan" argument is nonsense. Wide scale criticism of the team is what brought Bill Parcells into town, and we should all know the difference that single move made for the trajectory of the franchise. Drinking the kool-aid only enables the Jones boys to remain complacent and stuck in their ways. Nothing changes unless there are enough "fake fans" out there stirring the pot and effecting the bottom line.

True fans get mad when there is something wrong with the team. Apathy for being mediocre is what is truly questionable when it comes to being a fan.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with vocalizing concerns when we see them, but there are many on this board that take it as their responsibility to attack anyone that speaks up as their personal duty, and I simply don't understand it. I equate it to the goofball that blindly defends his female friend because in his eyes, she can do no wrong. Crazy stuff, man.

Zeke is averaging 3.8 ypc and is getting worse and worse every year. So he deserves to be ridiculed.

Can you understand the difference?

Lol...he doesn't offer much to cheer for? Let me ask you a question...have you ever played QB before? Or only watched it on tv? And I'm not being funny. I'm asking a serious question. Cause I've played it before and for you to say Dak doesn't offer much only makes me think that you've never played the position before. Dak is actually very good....not an Aaron Rodgers, but a good QB. To me...no one is an Aaron Rodgers. I like Aaron Rodgers better than Brady, even though Brady has more SBs. I just think he's a better QB. But I'm curious of your answer. It amazes me that some of you will criticize Dak even after a very good game and a WIN. When Rush was QB....he was the 2nd coming to many of you. And honestly....to me....he's ok. I would lean the needle to the bad side of the middle. So...I'm curious of your answer.

You guys act like it's easy peazy to get to an NFC Championship game. Lol...newsflash, there are 15 other teams trying to get to it, also. There needs to be talent, skill, cohesiveness, chemistry and luck on all levels, GM, coaches, offense, defense and special teams. It has to click and it has to click at the right moment. Jerry's rich off of you too. You watch the game on tv? TV revenue. You have a jersey, hat, or anything else Cowboys? Revenue. You go to the game? Revenue. So, why not root for the team you're spending money with?

LOL Roy couldn't wait for someone to respond so he could as usual insult a poster, and hold himself completely unaccountable for the article he shares to validate his only goal of making all success of the Dallas Cowboys about Dak Prescott.

it comes at a price though. He’s lost all credibility in this crusade. He’s wasting his time and doesn’t know it
