Amari Cooper "resurrected" Dak Prescott? You mean Dak Prescott who resurrected Amari Cooper. Cooper's best season came under Dak Prescott, not Derek Carr or any of the current Browns' QBs. Why hasn't Amari Cooper "resurrected" Jacobi Brissett in Cleveland? Amari is the Browns #1 receiver, yet he's averaging a paltry 60 yards receiving per game. Yuck! What's happened to the great Amari Cooper who supposedly "resurrected" Dak Prescott???
Come on man. The odds that this offense will reach the heights that it reached last year without Cooper are quite low. The game seems to be too big for these guys at present. The offense is avg...in minus territory according to FootballOutsiders, when it was running in the 20s last year. Cooper did resurrect Prescott...otherwise why would you give away a number one draft pick for a struggling quarterback?

In 2018 he was averaging just 183 yds/gm over the first seven games (before they acquired Cooper at 3-4), with just two games over 200 yds (231 and 250). Dallas at the time was ranked 29th in passing yards. The Cowboys would not have made the playoffs without Cooper in 2018. Moreover the consequences for Prescotts' future contract would probably have been negative.

The chemistry was the thing...and now you simply don't have it. The swagger was the thing...and now you simply don't have it. Arguably the leagues' top offense was the thing...and now you simply don't have it. We saw the same thing after they let go Owens and Bryant. The following year the offense waned. Now...after Cooper, we are seeing the same...damn...thing...which is why you hear all the rumors about Dallas bringing in a WR before November 1.

Cooper is 20th ranked by FootballOutsiders at present. Cee Dee Lamb? 47th...and he is the highest ranked Dallas receiver seven games in.

Bottom Line: Who honestly didn't expect the score against the NFL's worst team to be a whole lot better. There were some instances where if it wasn't for Detroit shooting themselves in the foot they could've won this game.

Question: Who expected Dallas to be a better team from last year? Do you think that Dallas is a better team, or have they regressed, including the Quarterback?
I'm willing to bet not many on here thought they'd be a better team considering they lost ACoop, Randy Gregory and Cedric Wilson. We can say whatifs on many things during the game. I don't know if they are a better team or not but we're not halfway through the season and we've only played a game and a half with our starting QB. Maybe if some of you stop being Debbie Downers and support the team, things wouldn't look so bad.

It appears Dak is on the Jimmy G. level of quarterbacking according to the mediots. The media thinks Hurts is better then him by along shot and Danny Dimes is at least at the same level. One of these talks shows think the Cowboys are in trouble because Zeke will be out Sunday because now Dak will throw the football more.:eek::eek::eek:

Not that I care, but this^ is trolling. I wasn't going to get baited into posting, but with so many posters using the word "troll" so loosely as of late, I thought I should point out a post meant for trolling.
I think he meant it in fun, but you can't say this thread wasn't titled and written to provoke a response.
Because if Sunday's game vs the Lions is Prescott "taking the Cowboys to a new level" it's a level we don't want to see when the Cowboys play better teams. Had the refs not taken a touchdown away from Detroit in the fourth quarter (I saw the replay and I think it was a touchdown), I'm not sure the Cowboys win that game.
Against a contender, I don't think we win that game - as we've also seen that many times in the past.
If, if, if. Had Brown not fumble, I think we score a touchdown. Compared to the last 4 wins, Dak did take us to new heights this season...thus far. We scored more touchdowns than we did all season. More yards per attempt all season. So in a sense...he did take us to a higher level. Why is it so hard for many of you to give Dak props? Or, why is it so hard for you to support Dak? If you support the team, you support EVERY player on the team. Address your elephant in the room.

Dak barely came back...and from a broken bone in his throwing hand. Why don't you give him several games to get back in the groove and connect with these receivers? Dak actually played well and managed the offense well last weekend. Have a little patience and wait and see if Dak can help elevate this current group of receivers, albeit limited.

Davis runs pretty descent inside.
He does have some shake, and some speed, but we have that already with Pollard.
I was surprised that Ollison wasn't the call to fill in for Zeke, but lets see what Moore can do with two shifty RBs.
Could be dynamic, but the looser in all this is Dak.
He doesn't like playing without his bodyguard, and Zeke was Daks last line of defense considering his immobile ability.

I feel like I'm being punked by my 12 year old.

You dont even know what triple coverage is buddy. If you had bothered to watch some of the videos on the analysis of Dak's performance you would know that wasnt triple coverage and at least one of those was a spot on throw.

I cant help the woefully poorly informed.

Throw in some play action, a few roll outs, and a couple of designed runs—just to keep ‘em honest!

Well in 5 of those games Cee Dee played in, our passing was barely reaching 100 yards.

I don't care about Rodgers. Let his fans worry about him, unless you are one of his fans. My concern are the Dallas Cowboys.
It was your example, not mine. It's also an unfair observation. Dallas does have talent that a guy like Rodgers could elevate. He's proven he can do more with less throughout his career. Dak has not. It's easy to point to offensive output numbers, but Dak has NEVER put up consistently good numbers without a good, proven number 1 receiver.

This season will be very telling regarding the abilities of QB1. I hope he lights up the scoreboard, but the only sample size we have of Dak with "inferior" talent was right after Dez left and before Coop came in, week 1 of this season, and last week. The results have left much to be desired, and many around here can't seem to grasp this concept. Many even spent the entire off-season defending this talent pool at receiver, but have backtracked and labeled them inferior after observing the struggles in the passing game.

Which one is it? Do the receivers suck, or are the quarterbacks having a tough time elevating what's around them? There's no positive answer either way. Hope it gets fixed, but there's no sense in defending anyone with the money and resources that have been dumped into that passing game until it does.

It was absolutely only posted to provoke a response. And when the response didn't include showering Dak with praise it was quickly followed up with "troll", "hater", "you don't know football", "find another team", followed by the usual insults. Like someone said recently, it's a lot like trolls calling other people trolls. Trolling trolls who troll.

You just wasted a lot of typing on a person who is like this... If you aren't praising Dak, this is him.

I just want him to drive the bus, but no, he thinks he's a prolific passer.
