You don't seem to understand WHY the QB's and offenses play dipped the 2ndf half of last year. You simply think the QB play was the reason.

Sure, it was a combination of things but the QB play was not good. Surely that is a fair statement you would agree with. ?

Tampa the Cowboys absolutely didn't lose because of Dak. That game probably isn't even close without his performance. The Vegas game is debatable, but too much probably gets put on the OT drive. That game really shouldn't have made it to that point, but did because of all the PI calls. Dak had some nice games last year, even in losses. I do think it would be interesting to know what those games would look like had the Cowboys not threw the ball 105 times to just 38 rushes between those two games.
Agreed, but remember, our Oline was not that good last year. Both Tyron Smith and La'el Collins missed much of the season due to injuries, the Oline struggled to get push or open up holes consistently, and they constantly committed drive killing penalties.

The Cowboys tried to run the ball in most of those games and we fell behind doing it because the run game was terrible. Zeke was averaging something like 1.8 ypc in the first quarter of games the 2nd half of last year. It was THAT bad.

Then we had to pass to catch up. We were pressed for time and zeke was going nowhere.

That is situational passing.

No, that is a generalization. There were several games where the QB play was great. Some not so good. But then again, its hard for a QB to do his job with no run game and poor Oline play. A few of those games both Cooper and Lamb were out.

Look no further than Tom Brady's performance this year for what happens to a QB with a bad Oline and no run game.

Dak sure is taking us to a new level.

Bee line to the basement.

Yes, this post is satire. And yes, I do enjoy stirring the pot.

I enjoy this version of you much better. :flagwave:

Maybe. I dont remember the exact flow of either game, but just a quick look at the box scores the Raider game was a 1 possession game (8 poitns down) going into the 4th quarter. The TB game they were down 2 points going into the 4th so I'm not sure they didnt have time to run the ball more.

The ineffectiveness is a very valid argument. I'm a little bit old school in theory though believing that it is important to stick with a balanced attack though, or at least more balanced than...especially when you are playing Brady on a stacked roster. Burn some clock and keep the opposing defense honest, while keeping your defense fresh and off the field. Not saying it would have had a different ending, after all Tampa used the exact same approach, but Tony Pollard only got 3 carries in the Tampa game which tells me they didn't give it much of a chance. That said though Dak was hot that game and the Cowboys chose to ride him until the end. Missed field goals, lots of penalties, etc. probably played into more of a factor. We could break it down all day, but it's getting into a completely different subject than what was being discussed.

They only scored 24 against the worst defense in the NFL and looked very much like the Cooper Rush led offense we saw the previous 5 weeks. Yet Dak elevated the team to a new level.

The lengths we keep going to in order to prop up an average QB.

Dak is better than Rush….
This post is also true.

The simps will always be impressed with simp arguments.

Thunder's "owning" was discussed at length about 100x's and literally doesn't need to be debunked yet again.
Most of Thunder’s comments have more to do with how one communicates with other human beings than with the Dak debate. I try not to take a side but what good does it do to call someone a “simp”? Seriously!

I don't know any other way to more succinctly summarize oversimplified viewpoints that have been disproven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

As it stands, Prescott had a very good first week back. He was inside the top six in both EPA/play and completion percentage over expectation (CPOE) and his QBR was just outside the top ten. Prescott also completed 76% of his passes despite leading the league in intended air yards and throwing into tight windows at the second highest rate this week. It’s wise not to overreact to one game, but this certainly looked like the Prescott fans are used to seeing.

Elevates this club to a new level???????? Are you taking about the same Prescot who hasn't shown up for a meaningful game in YEARS?????? Are you talking about the same Prescot who went MIA in the second half of last season and finished the playoffs ONE and Done??????? Are you talking about the same Prescot who went MIA against Tamp in the first game of the season THIS YEAR??????? Are you talking about the same Prescot who looked like crap against the LIONS???????? Prescot is well known for having career games against the toads in this league and when he goes up against the decent teams or really meaningful games he's nowhere to be found. The better DCs in the league know that he can't beat them with his arm so they choke off the run game and FORCE him to throw and we all know how that affects Prescot. He's so bad that the organization is deliberately trying to run the ball because they all know they don't have a chance in hell if they have to depend on Prescot's arm!

Do you can’t read either?

But isn’t it telling that even a rusty Dak is better than your hero rush?

Do I can't read either?

I think I do read good. How's your grammar going?

Ya know, not every criticism of Dak is personal attack on him. I expected some rust. Hopefully he won't throw into triple coverage against Chicago sunday.

Dak put up Cooper Rush type stats against Detroit.
And all the Dak trolls couldn't wait for Cooper to finally lose a game to prop their wonder boy up.
I'll take a win no matter who the QB is.

If you go by experience, them Packers should be better. So why isn't Aaron Rodgers "elevating" them to perform better? Why are excuses ok for Rodgers but not for Dak?
I don't believe I said anything about Rodgers or who is better, or about excuses being made. You said that our supporting cast is worse than theirs. Do you believe Rodgers wouldn't succeed with the Dallas offensive lineup?

I don't care about Rodgers. Let his fans worry about him, unless you are one of his fans. My concern are the Dallas Cowboys.

The same way you gave Rush support....give Dak that same support.
