No player carries a team.Rodgers has always carried his team(Except in 11), but he's also always failed in crunch time.

Losing teams almost always have more passing yards. Nature of the game. Counting passing yardage to compare Qb's in one single game means pretty much nothing. To compare using that stat, one would have to guess at how well Goff would've done if he had been required to pass. As it was, our run D was so completely horrific, nothing else can really be judged in the game.
Simply sports terminology. Basically means that his play elevates the team.No player carries a team.
He has to match Nick Foles first before he can be the focus in a higher ceiling to others. He hasnt done that
Goff sucked in the super bowl.By your own standards, how did Goff do in his next game against the Patriots? When he was losing for the entire game?

Frankly, I've never been impressed w/ Goff. I think he's grossly overrated. However, when all a QB has to do is hand the ball off to win, it's very difficult to compare the two starters using stats. Same thing happened w/ Aikman many many times. And once again, our run D was so horrific, it's hard to really accurately judge much of anything else in that game.
So there are those convinced that Prescott is as good as he will ever be and that Wentz has more potential to become better....
Based on what? All we have to go by are their performances and Prescott has at the very least been WAY more available.
If you want to suggest Wentz throws a better ball, I'd agree. But overall, it's early to crown him.
Same here, I can't stand him and would love to discount double check his face. I think he's a true elite QB too, but he's had some solid surrounding talent. Not always, but still.Simply sports terminology. Basically means that his play elevates the team.
I can't stand Rodgers and his snarky crapp, but he does mostly carry the team.
You know what? We're arguing over something we agree on again!!!!!!!Give credit where credit is due. Dak has played well in his playoff appearances and wasn't remotely the reason why the Cowboys ultimately lost.
Stir that pot bro.. lol.If he's "better", why does Dak have the better numbers after three years?
D wins. GB has been very Dallasy in their D building. Aside from 11 when it came together, they've done a poor job of building the D. The Cullen Jenkins/Raji combo were the true MVP's of that super bowl. PITT could not contain them.Same here, I can't stand him and would love to discount double check his face. I do think that no matter the injury if it happens again they will start looking for another qb. Romo had a lot of injuries when the league didn’t protect the qb the same way they are no adays. His collar bone injuries were definitely the way the player landed on him. His last back injury was all his fault, running for yards in a preseason game wasn’t the smartest move.If Carson goes out again with a season ending injury in 2019, are the eagles going to keep paying him or is it time to move on? Guess it depends on the injury. Going to be interesting. I would imagine that he will be a little better at protecting his body. Carson is a competitor and when he can't pass he runs and he has paid the price. This ain't college. I would imagine his coaches have emphasized this fact. I am sure an eagles fan will chime in on this conversion.
He couldn't maintain his starting job due to injuries. Are you saying you're confident he will be available for a full season?"Match Foles" - Does Dak have to do that as well? Did Dak have the playoff run that Foles had? Or is that just for rival players? Foles also is no longer with the Eagles, Wentz has that starting job.

I call it levels of greatness. You have Tom Brady and Payton Manning as tier 1 great, followed by tier 2 greats in Brees, Rodgers, and Rivers. Maybe Rothy.
No player carries a team.

I don't disagree, I just think the phrase gets tossed around a lot and if a player has to take on more of the burden as you say, they typically don't do much past the regular season and they have gaudy passing stats.Sure, but some players are able to carry more of a burden than others. It's preposterous to suggest otherwise.
Elway "carried" 3 subpar teams to super bowls before finally winning 2 in a row.I don't disagree, I just think the phrase gets tossed around a lot and if a player has to take on more of the burden as you say, they typically don't do much past the regular season and they have gaudy passing stats.
