Dak Prescott is better than Derek Carr and it’s not even close

He had a better season as a rookie than Carr has ever had. Supporting cast is moot between the two. Unlike Jday I have no respect for you since you've turned heel while maintaining the same nonsensical stream of gibberish style from your previous iteration, but have leavened it with a good deal of trolling.
Dang, ACF!! Remind me to never cross you!!! :muttley::star:

Brady is a statue in the pocket. So was Peyton, Aikman, and virtually every QB who ever won championships. Mobility is so overrated. Pocket presence is vastly more important.

Make no mistake, the Cowboys would run through a gauntlet of fire and grenades to make that deal.

Dak played smart football with terrific poise. He did not make the kind of throws on a regular basis that Carr does. Maybe he will, but he's got eons to go.
Eons is over-the-top. A conditional 4th rounder going from 4th stringer, to starter, to helping win 13 games, to becoming a Pro Bowler is not eons away from becoming a Championship QB for the Dallas Cowboys in the near future.

Dak inherited the greatest offensive talent a rookie has ever played with in the history of the National Football League.

The best offensive line in the league, the best running back, a Hall of Fame tight end, plus Dez Bryant and Cole Beasley.

That's like hitting the Powerball for a rookie QB. Yes, he did a really fine job playing poised, sound football, but much of last year, he was just driving that bus.

This year, he'll have to do more, and there will be growing pains. But that's fine. He'll be fine.

But Derek Carr is the real deal, and that team is getting better and better if they don't screw it up.

The only thing missing from the offensive team Dak inherited in 2015 was him and Zeke and 2015 was an abortion. He drove the bus when he could, but when it came time to lead the charge on a comeback, he did that to. I'm not eve sure what it is you are saying when saying "Derek is the real deal and that team is getting better and better." You could say the exact same thing about the Cowboys.

If you don't think so, that's fine, but make no mistake, Dak is for real too. And therein is the issue. This hypothetical trade idea is ridiculous because neither team would ever even consider trading their quarterback even if it was for what many might think is a better quarterback. That simply not a position you play around with. If you believe you have your guy you don't trade him for anything. I think it is pretty clear that the Cowboys believe they have found their guy. That's really the one point you made that I disagree with.

Outside of that, you could probably convince me to believe that Derek is better now. I'll concede that. But if Dak keeps progressing from what he did last year, three years from now you'll probably slap yourself for even considering this trade.

I love Dak, too. There's only a few two QBs I'd trade him for. Rodgers and Carr. That's it.

What kind of team was the Raiders when Carr was a rookie? love how the dak homers try and ignore that FACT. So trying to compare their rookie seasons is BS.
Since Luck has seemed to plateau and Wilson's Seahawks appear to be imploding, the pundits have turned to Carr as the new golden boy of the NFL.

Now as regards the old argument of scrambler vs pocket passer, if you want to win MULTIPLE championships the odds are with the pocket passer. Brady has 5 rings and Aikman has 3, The Mannings between them have 4 and they are all about as immobile as you can get. Young, Favre, Wilson all only have 1 ring each. Elway has 2 but he seems to be the exception. Now Montana was not a scrambler but he was nimble.
Your odds of multiple championships are much greater with a pocket passer vs a scrambler. Especially in todays NFL. Elway and Montana were 20 years ago. as regards the last 20 only Wilson could be viewed as a scrambler with a ring.

Chill with that "Dak homer" crap, bro. It's okay to make a point without denigrating our franchise QB and his supporters, of which you should be one, too.

Fair enough.

just to be clear about Dak, he IS the best young QB that has come out in the last few year; Carr possibly being the only real competition. Going back a little farther Wilson. He could be in the conversation. Newton, Luck, Winston, etc none of them frankly impress me at all. Mariota MIGHT but he has to show he can stay on the field.

BUT I have been around to see one year wonders before; injuries an other things can happen. I need to see Dak with about three years of that kind of play before I call him the best there is.

Of course Dak is the better QB. He's a Cowboy. That automatically makes him the best QB in the NFL.

Reminds me of two guys back in HS who used to argue (constantly) about who was the better QB ... Danny White or Joe Montana? Of course Danny White was better ... he's a Cowboy.

Nuff said.

Mariota, agreed. He's injured too much, and reports are he lost weight this offseason to the chagrin of his coaching staff. They want him to put on a few pounds, which went against the advice of his personal trainer, whom he sided with. Still, he has surprised me, no doubt about it. I didn't believe in him at all when he was drafted.

Winston, for me, is a bonafide star, blue-chip prospect -- but please, I'm really tired of debating Zoners on him.

Wilson is elite, imo, if we're calling top-5 "elite". I totally agree, there.

We do need to see more of Dak, especially when he's mentioned with Carr. This season will tell us everything, 666. With all my conviction, I believe we have a top-5 QB prospect on our hands with Dak.

For what it's worth, I'm fairly certain Dak Prescott is the real deal as well. Time will surely tell the tale, but if we are to use his first season as a guide, as well as his willingness to work hard at getting better, I think I know what the end of this story will be. Again, time will tell the tale.
