I'm not a fan of that type of contract for Dak, but we really had no choice. The QB draft class next year is trash.... Dak isn't elite, but he still is a perennial top 10, All-Pro, MVP candidate quarterback who has accomplished these things without a functioning running game, as of late. Zero

He has to elevate his play and so does the rest of the team then maybe we can advance further in the playoffs.

If you consider the cap now compared to 2021, the percentage of what Dak gets with this deal compared to his deal four years ago represents just a 1.1 percent pay raise.

Basically, in terms of "how much pie there is to go around", Dak is taking up roughly the same amount.
