Signed by Cowboys Dak Prescott on a four-year contract, $240 million extension

I kept telling you guys the Joneses wanted to extend him. Some were convinced they wanted to move on from me..wrong! What was holding it up was Dak and his side. Now we don’t have to worry about a carousel of castoff QBs battling for the job in 2025.:dance:
Now we have some cap space for next year.

This year's draft class looks really promising, but I'm with you. They're going to need to hit home runs every year to make this work. I'm sure player acquisition will be similar, but I worry about player retention. Who are we going to have to let go of in the next couple of seasons? This deal is going to compromise what was starting to look like a strong young core. Tough to stomach right now.
Yep….my point is that they need to hit home runs in just about every draft whether they retained Prescott or not, because they don’t participate in free agency.

That approach is unrealistic…no team could ever possibly draft well enough to make it work, and even when they do have a couple of good ones, it can’t possibly be consistent enough, which is why you take your shot when you have it, but they don’t get that part.

You're excited over mediocrity. Gotcha

Nothing is going good this year, I expect to be let down in 2 months also

This contract was probably agreed to a long time ago. The Cowboys love being in the media. Looking forward to the Parsons contract ordeal next offseason.  Anyway glad they got it done. I know the national media will turn on Dak now and I will miss the Dak haters who actually made good arguments. I will miss you Pappy and Willie.

You're not much of a historian.
Well he ran off the coach who had just won 2 super bowls and signed a qb who can't win against winning teams and can't play in the playoffs until the game is out of reach. So, I think I'm pretty close.
