Quit using logic this is the zone. You have to be emotional and not understand football
Yeah, Texans are good now because of the trenches, Chiefs and Patriots have been great all these years because of trenches, Tom won a quick Super bowl in Tampa because of the trenches, Bears and Commanders are excited because of the trenches, Bengals, Jaguars, Jets, etc.... are excited now because of their trenches.......................................Your understanding of football is logic and wonderful.

So disappointing that Jerry paid Dak $60 million, but we saw this coming. Some asked where we got the $60 million figure from, but it was obvious based on his last contract where this was going. There was no way Dak would settle for the same about Trevor Lawrence or Jared Goff got.

Dak is not worth $60 million. He does not deserve to be the highest paid QB in NFL history. He is not even in the top 5 of current QBs, and in a couple of years he might not be in the top 10. If you want to know why Dallas hasn't won anything in 30 years its because Jerry overpays his players while refusing to pay quality free agents.

Dak can prove me wrong over the next 4 years but my bet is he does not earn that $240 million Jerry agreed to pay him.

Micah Parsons must be drooling over his chance to negotiate with Jerry.

It's a horrific mistake. All about how well the Cowboys draft to carry an overpaid average quarterback.

Both...you already going back on your word?
I said I would stop supporting his greedy ***, but I never said I didn't want to keep him. I still feel his play is what is best for the team.

So you're going to continue supporting the team but bashing Dak?

In other words, you're not going to change but you want me to change? Hypocrite much?

some may have been wrong about him being re signed

But on the more important details (his ceiling performance wise) they are just as right now as they were all summer.

Which is why I find it odd that you're more happy about the "haters" eating it, while as this great fan you profess to be, I would think your greater concern would be the long term health and success of the team

But, hey, don't let me distract you whilst you're hoisting yourself up on a very high horse.....
That’s the thing you don’t understand. They have no chance without Dak who also happens to be the NFL MVP runner-up, All Pro and Pro Bowler and led the league in TD’s and accuracy last year as well as top 5 or top 3 in other categories. So yeah, what a fantastic day! Go Cowboys!

I thought the gameday threads' main issue would be Tom Brady doing color commentary. "Bet Brady could still play better than Dak yuck yuck yuck."

Now the signing has happened. As always, a few people will not be able to help themselves. The contract will be mentioned. Someone will be called a hater. Others will join in. STOP THE NONSENSE post(s) will be created. It will have no effect. Several members will get automatically thread benched. Then the 'What the hell did I do?' messages will start.

All this (and more) happening during the game. Some folks will not understand (for the billionth time) the staff is watching the game too. And the quickest way to eliminate disruptions while watching the game and the thread also is eliminating the disruptions.

oh well.

GO COWBOYS!

lmbo.

/stupid selfish rant
Brady's first game as an analyst is a Cowboy game with the highest paid QB in history....his last game as a player was a playoff loss to Dallas and the worse playoff QB in history.

Is that before or after we make up more stories about how it's not going to get done when it's going to be done

When you look at the cowboys team the last few years, they just weren’t good enough against the elite teams, it’s not just the qb. Games are win and lost inside the trenches, that is the key.
But hey...the QB plays the biggest part in all this. You think Dak upheld HIS part in it? We have to define EVERY OTHER failure...FIRST...before discussing the HIGHEST PID PLAYER IN NFL HISTORY?

You are not wrong...QB and RB have suffered because of trenches. But they aren't 240 million dollars rich, are they?
