News: Dak Prescott: One of the NFL’s Most Accurate Deep Passers

I don't see a problem with Fuzzy pointing out a flaw in this argument. In this case, the writer used a very narrow and subjective criteria for declaring Dak one of the NFL's most accurate deep passers. Do we want to go along with cherry-picked data just because it makes our rookie quarterback look good?

Here I've got one for you: Prescott completes 100 percent of his passes that are not incompletions.

as a rookie he doesnt even qualify as 'one of'
he qualifies as had a decent year. Remember Kaepernick? get back to me in 2 years
Says who? Says you?

The normal 3 year rookie grace period typically applies when determining when a rookie will "get it". Dak got it in that first game of the preseason. Sure.. We can debate whether or not he might regress but, in all seriousness, have you seen anything that would support that level of speculation? If so, please detail the signs for those of us that aren't in the know.

Otherwise, it's just speculation for the sake of speculation because we are bored knowing we won't be playing for awhile.

says sports history. Rookies arent worth paying attention to when it counts in the playoffs.
Rookie QBs is what I mean. Rookies at other positions can hide behind the team.

This is laughable.

You're bringing up a single play from the season to discredit an entire article. You're willfully ignorant, troll.

The article said there were no interceptions. Fuzzy pointed out an interception. Obviously, that aspect of the article was wrong. It makes one wonder if the rest is accurate or how they are judging things to come up with their numbers.

Screw sports history. Records and other silly items of interest disappear all the time.

Does the play you mentioned fall into that category? Is Matt Harmon of NFL.com making crap up or just using a very narrow definition of deep throws into tight coverage.

Watch this video...

I get the desire to hype him but there is no need to make crap up to make him look good. That pass was both deep and intercepted.

I have to agree with Fuzzy. I love Dak, and you can blame the interception on Dez (as some have) but at the end of the day the play was:

1) a deep pass more than 20 yards
2) the closest defender was within 1 yard so it was tight coverage, and...
3) It was clearly intercepted.

That right there makes the last sentence of the article inaccurate.

As fuzzy said you can hype him, love that he is a Cowboy, and agree that he had the best rookie season of any QB in history, yet realize that he is not perfect and makes mistakes. This need to show him as infallible and shoot down anything that doesn't agree with that assessment is really unnecessary. He was good enough without it.

The article also also called Dak "a game manager." I disagree with that so...

Yeah I don't get that either.

I don't agree with it how it is generally intended, but I do think game manager is an accurate description of what this team wants, even if Romo was in at quarterback. Dallas wants to beat you up with the run and complete passes, without making a bunch of mistakes, to support that strategy.

It worked for Romo in 2014 and it's working for Prescott this year, but it wouldn't work for just any quarterback as last year and Sanchez have shown. The game plan only works as well as the quarterback managing to keep it functioning.

disappear? no, they indicate proven trends. Rookies fail when it counts,Always have, always will. Wisdom and experience always/most of the damn time, win out.
aside from that, you as an adult should be able to grasp that. Stop acting like 5 year old at Christmas. You know in you logical head the Cowboys have zero to little chance of getting to the SB.
The kid has a 2 week layoff and too much time to think.

The article omitted a single play by accident.

He claimed the author is making 'crap' up to hype Prescott. There's a big difference between between forgetting one play from the entire season, and propaganda. Hence, why he's trolling.

You have zero idea of anything about Dak and how he will play in his first playoff game. I have 16 weeks.
