Sure, he wants a shorter deal.
Yep, the length of contract is the issue, not so much the money that can always be restructured. If he gets a 3 year contract even if we add on two Void Years, it'll still mean an additional $8m CAP hit to pay off the existing bonus debt.

And that ladies and gents is the sound of leverage gone bad. His spectacularly horrible performance in the first half against GB basically cemented his end in Dallas. So let's put out some feelers. Say stuff like you don't want to be the highest paid because the goal here is to protect endorsement money that comes with being a Cowboy. I really do hope they trade his useless carcass to the Raiders.
He is not going to be traded. He is going to be a free agent. There will be offers for his services. He’ll choose the one he likes the most. I doubt he or the Cowboys organization are emotional about it, certainly not obsessed like fans. Dak, his agent, and the Dallas Cowboys understand the business of NFL football. If Dak plays for Dallas or some other team the NFL will be just fine. Whatever Dak is eventually paid is a result of circumstances in the NFL that the Cowboys have helped to create more than any individual player has.

If you aren't a Dak lover you are clearly a Romo lover, got it?
Of course...when other posters start pointing out how Dak sucks when the kitchen gets hot, his lovers always, and I mean always bring Romo up to deflect from the sucky truth.

They just don't want to hear it. AC is the one that does it constantly..."Dak has trouble reading a defense". Yeah, but Romo this and Romo that, juvenile crap at it's finest.

Dak's lovers say he lives in our heads 24/365? Well, Romo lives in their tiny heads.

I hope it's a mutual decision by both.

Bye, bye...thanks for the memories...not!

Literally the MVP runner-up.
This is not even a thing. You either win the MVP or your don't. There is no such thing as an MVP runner up. It's the same as claiming you were nominated for an Oscar. Means nothing but it massages your ego.
