I liked both goff and wentz. Would love to have either of them.

I loved hackenburg and thought he would be perfect here. I honestly did have much of a feel for Prescott because I never once watched him play in college.

My thoughts as of this moment are that this team has a player worth developing. No matter what the situation was last night the guy demonstrated an ability no backup here has (non veteran) since Romo in 04/05 when he showed he could run the team.

I imagine prescott will miss some open receivers, take a sack and get intercepted before the summer is through but he has already shown that he is worth developing.

Pretty exciting as a fan.

Well it is only one preseason game so what we learned.....Dak played better then any rookie QB. Next week we will see how it goes. My point is you Wentz lovers said he impressed but disappear when Dak played after they said he was garbage and not a competent QB. By the looks of it Dak is far ahead in his development then others

Well I didn't disappear at all. I was front and center in the game thread giving him praise for throws he made, etc.

And let's be honest. If Prescott ends up not being anything more than a backup, you Prescott guys will fade off into the sunset to, trying to distance yourselves from the over the top praise early.

So it works both ways.

I'm also the guy that's been far more right over the years than you.

How do I know this? I've been more right than the team. Which makes me more right than you. You don't have an opinion. You're too busy being player-sexual to have your own thought. You're not worth reading.

As I figured, you had no response. Pathetic, but predictable.

The Cowboys did a couple of things right in the draft.

Dak was one. Tapper the other. I guess I am fine with the 6th rd picks too.
I have to throw in Elliot also. It was the right pick imo. If Smith knee turns out fine, then we had one hecka of draft

Look guys, Prescott has had more practice with the ones where as the other two almost strictly worked with the twos. So, Prescott was more prepared than the other two. I will say that with more practice and seeing how fast the NFL is I think Prescott could be ready by mid season to handle the offense should Romo go down.

I'm thrilled for Dak,
But jeez man, a little early for that. Don't you think?
One half of one preseason game?
it was the best pre season performance by any dallas qb including romo, in I dont know how many years.
So it is ok to get excited or go on about dak, until the next game thursday.

However if he was to have another game like that , lol , then what ??

No it don't. I will always praise Cowboys players and cheer for them. I refuse to cheer for other team players like Wentz or if they leave for another team. Was glad Ware got a ring but I didn't cheer for Denver to win cause Ware isn't a Cowboy anymore.

So no it doesn't work both ways

Mr. Contrary 2.0 has shown up in this thread.

Hey guys don't get excited about anyone ever! Everything must have SOME kind of negative spin to it. And remember, if you enter a thread and everyone is agreeing. YOU must be the one with a differing opinion. Even if you agree...just disagree.

Doesn't matter all 3 have been at practice the same time. Goff and Wentz went 1 and 2 overall and Dak round 4 so they are suppose to be more talented. Not only that you telling me a 4th round rookie is more prepared...maybe he knows the sun rises in the east so he had more preparation time

It does work both ways. If Prescott bombs out, you guys proclaiming he's a stud will run as fast as you can from those comments. That's the point.

And no, I am not "cheering" for Wentz. All I said about him was that from the small play Thursday night you could see why teams were after him high. Big, very mobile, big arm. I would have made the trade to move up to get him and won't apologize for that. I am about as pro-franchise QB as one can get and if you have a chance to grab a guy people think can be one in the first round, I do it every time.

However, if Prescott turns out to be that guy, then that's great on so many levels. One, you have the next franchise QB. Two, you don't have to then invest a lot of high assets into finding one. So yeah, I hope to hell Prescott is one of those later round QBs who bucks the trend.

You guys have created this bizarre strawman argument that people who like Wentz are now rooting for him. Well, maybe Risen is rooting for him. LOL.

LOL at the idea of a grown man squabbling about who's been right more on an Internet message board.

Turn off your device and go outside to get some fresh air.

Good lord.

I think its funny that the Wentz Zealots preach patience, but can you imagine if Wentz had had the kinda first game Dak did? they would have probably entered a whole new realm of fanboyism over Wentz, if thats even possible......

Think what you want but I still cheered for Akwasi-Owusu Ansah, Matt Johnson, Wilcox and numerous others. I won't disappear on Dak if he never makes a play. If they are on the team I will support them. So take that on cause not all fans are the same.

I see your point with Wentz and I'm no scout buy he didn't look good to me at all. He did some decent things like throw on the run but was not impressed at all from that game.....

Well include goff and some others, and the media too would go nuts.
They would also say they should start game one, but no one will say that about dak, he was a 4th rounder!!

I am surprised by dak, and I am anxious now to see the next game, and how he and showers do.
