What's funny all those Wentz fans that was calling his game impressive......are no where to be found. Haven't seen one of them eat crow or at least say something good about Dak. It's pathetic really, guys can't stand that Dak outplayed their "jesus". Risen is every making jokes about Dak. I don't need to name those guys we know who they are
Alright loudmouth... I was a huge proponent of taking Wentz and I think we are going to get beat by him sooner than later. Having said that, I've been a fan of Dak as well and was never as down on him as most of his detractors were. I liked his poise and ability to win against strong competition. He might not have Wentz' arm but he definitely has "It". In my case, there is no crow to eat. I liked both of them and would have been screaming for joy if we had gotten Wentz but I'm glad we got Dak as well, even better since we got him in the 4th. :D

I support Dak.

But boy ole boy, we love to set ourselves up for disappointment.

Quick to say "I was right, he was wrong" in only a short matter of time.

I think Dak can be real good, but I'll wait a little longer before I start getting to happy.

So basically Dak has to be not just good, but real good for you to start getting happy. I'm HAPPY that Moore isn't the backup. That alone puts a smile on my face. Dak wasn't scared, he was poised, made difficult throws. That for me puts an extra smile on my face. Why frown over that.

I'm also the guy that's been far more right over the years than you.

How do I know this? I've been more right than the team. Which makes me more right than you. You don't have an opinion. You're too busy being player-sexual to have your own thought. You're not worth reading.

Harsh much risen? Holy cow! You are right alot but you've been wrong too. Have a little tolerance, or at least a little less hate.

someone help me understand....Dak is listed as 6'2" Goff is listed at 6'4"...is it the camera angle or are they nose to nose?

Which is surprising to me because his pocket awareness/agility in the pocket is what sold me on him.

I like where we are sitting right now with Dak...

Lynch looks special though...

I liked Wentz but Lynch is the one I really liked. Not too far in the future they will be talking about his arm the way they talk about Cutler or Rodgers. He has an absolute cannon. But we have Dak, so he was by far the best qb is the draft :D .

I wanted Wentz and was willing to trade up for him. Crow tastes good after you add BBQ sauce n whiskey:p; still early, but glad we didn't trade up considering it would have taken next year's 1st.

couple of things here...I still think Goff will be a better Qb than Wentz, and as for Dak, we still haven't seen another element of his game, and that's his ability to run inside the 10 for TD's

Are we seriously doing this after a single pre-season game?

I think for the most part everybody is being pretty reasonable.

Dak played about as well as one possibly could in those circumstances. No bold proclamations, but he does deserve credit. He looked very very good.

Thanks but is loudmouth suppose to be an insult.....anyways I was talking about all the Wentz lovers that tried to claim boys 12-24 89 yards 0 TDs 1 pick 1 fumble was impressive even Dak clearly outplayed him.

Wentz ain't beating anybody, much less the Cowboys with fractured ribs. He has an injury history and his first nfl action what do you know got injuried.

I'm just tired of so called Cowboys fans cheering and praising a player from Philly or any other rival but yet only have negative things to say about Dallas.

Had Dak put up Wentz or Goffs stats yall would love talking about. Read post after post this season how our front office missed out on a franchise QB then when our 4th rounder out plays those guys they can't even get excited. Like they rather be right then Dallas have success

I respect that. Takes a ton to say that.

That being said you're right it's only 1 game and who knows how he will turn out but man it's very exciting that we may transfer from Romo right into the next franchise QB without the journey men we had after Aikman. We will see how he progresses as preseason goes on and maybe it's smoke and mirrors. I'm for one can't wait to see him in action again next week

Fair enough... but I am excited about how well Dak played. I do think Wentz is going to be good but I'm not disappointed about getting Dak where we got him ( would have been ok with him in the 2nd ) and I absolutely loved how he played last night. The arrow is pointing up for him. Lets just hope it keeps that way.

I think he was projected as 2nd-3rd round but with DUI and that fight dropped him to the 4th

Heck of alot cheaper too (no trading up in the 1st) and if we can bypass QB in rd 1 it would greatly help the D next year. He did look poised, confident, and accurate (tight spiral). I was impressed tbh and like you said excited to see more of him instead of the doom n gloom that I was expecting to see.

I really hope we hit on him as well, even more so then any draft pick in the past 3 years.

Like you said going first 3 rounds on defense can really help this team even more. Not worrying about QB with first pick we can pick any defender.....possibly a stud WR of the value is really great. Personally I rather keep Dez, Williams, Beasley, Street, Butler, Whitehead and go DL, LB, SS in first 3 rounds. Any order and multiple at the same spot is fine.

If Jaylon Smith is good to go pass rush would be the way to go DE all first 3 rounds haha

WR and oddly TE are the only positions on O I could see in the first (if Witten shows great decline) and our other TEs aren't viable #1's by '17. Agree about the D needs but would switch LB and SS just bc of our poor coverage if they are more of a hybrid SS/FS type of player similar to Woody. Maybe Heath can become that player but LBs seem easier to find than good Safeties. Agree DL always should come first. Tbh I just was surprised by the Jaylon pick and just hope for the best with the kid for the team and his own well being (crap injury to be dealt in your career).

I think Hanna and Escobar will be fine at TE. The problem is as long as Witten is on the team nobody will shine and good reason. You let Escobar and Hanna be the options and you will see them produce

The stats mean nothing, the most important thing was that Dak looks coachable. He's going to struggle as is the nature of the sport, but i believe that he can be a legit starter in the league. I've always felt that Goff and Wentz were way overrated by people. I have never seen so many analysts try to talk themselves into liking 2 so called top QBs.
