So if Dak throws 3 INts that is on JG, because Dak made a poor read, or poor throw.
I will say Garrett (or most likely Linehan) has done an excellent job gameplanning for Dak, as he has mostly thrown very safe throws, that have resulted in zero passes being interceptable (as I believe
@gmoney112 pointed out earlier, but it may have been a different poster -- if it was, apologies to whomever brought that stat to the Zone).
To answer your question, with your hypothetical, yes I would put some (not all) of it on Garrett, as at that point (multiple ints), the passing game would have been a failure and Dak's inexperience and shakiness should have resulted in a heavily run-oriented attack. But I don't think our guy is gonna throw three picks, so I can't buy into that hypothetical at this time.
If, after the game, we have this sort of situation where Dak had an off night, I will remember this exchange and we can discuss who's fault the loss falls at the feet of. I'll be here, dishing out likes
Garrett is a mediocre coach, so my money is on the fault (your hypothetical, notwithstanding) of our coaching staff. Mostly, at least. Sure, players bare some responsibility. But Garrett has been mediocre for far too long to get the benefit of the doubt, at this point (from me).
And mind you, this is your hypothetical. I could easily counter with one of my own (that would be slanted towards Garrett, asking you for your take) but I'm tired from defending Dez all evening. So let's see what happens this Sunday and hope we don't have to revisit this discussion. I think the Cowboys come away with a victory, regardless
