It's week 1 fellas, it's not going to look perfect by any means. We got the win and we have something to build on. I saw a lot of good from this team to be happy about and they have a lot to improve on but it's to be expected. I'm not so judgemental about Dak's performance. He got the "W" so that's all that matters. In the post-game analysis, the players will see the tape, identify all that needs to be corrected, and get better. Enjoy the win for the next 24 hours but then we move on to New Orleans. Cowboys! :flagwave:

FIRST, I noticed across the league in week 1 A TON OF RUST on teams but especially at the QB position. Week one was essentially that 4th preseason game where the starters get reps finally. Something like that. Dak isn't immune from rust. That said, he did exactly what they asked. He wasn't required to do more. This was a team win at every level. Out of all the games I saw week one, Dallas MIGHT BE the team that looks the least rusty. Lets take the w and enjoy it. We just beat down a good team that was in the playoffs last year that had a top-rated D that was playing their home opener. We came, we saw, we kicked arse. Dak did his job. NEXT

It was the first time a lot of the offense played together in a live game against another team this season. Not to mention, the Browns defense is top 5. Stop being so damn insufferable.
Dak can’t win playoff games.

throwing money at him doesn’t fix him.

Considering it was Dak's first game behind a partially experienced line and he made some nifty passes as well as not throwing an interception, then what's there to complain or be disappointed about. This team played well overall after a shaky start. If we are going to measure each Dak game performance relatively against what he is getting paid then why does CeeDee not get the same silly scrutiny?

I am not convinced that Dak is our post season savior along with other key components of the offense, but considering the circumstances, he and the young offensive line with an aging veteran played quite well on the road yesterday. I am not gushing with unbridled optimism but pleasantly surprised that we won the game and there were more positives than negatives.

Prescott drove the bus whilst the defense and special teams did the heavy lifting. The team won. Nothing wrong with that but let's see how he gets on when he's the one needed and called upon to do the heavy lifting for the team to win - whose fault will it be in those games...

He wasn't fantastic, but he didn't throw any back breaking pick 6s either, which is to say he was better than his last game, I guess.

How is 19/32 and 179 yards with 1 TD against a meddling Browns team playing well?
I agree Dak didnt play good against his own standards....but saying that defense is a meddling defense in thier house just makes you look uneducated on the subject...

Dak got paid big today but plaid below average. He was a bit to hasty with lots of his passes when they went on an all out blitz. A little disappointed but hoping he can perform better than what we saw to day next week.
He was. I am trying to figure out if our defense was that good or Watson was that bad. Same with Dak. Browns did have the best defense last year so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

He is what he is: a bad NFL QB.

Still he played ok in this game. I give him that. For the first time in his career he didnt lose us the game against a better defense.

This was a good defense. Usually he craps his parts when he has to play against better defenses. This time he didnt. He made no essential mistakes.

He did not play well. But thats ok. His long wobbling balls, that were so badly underthrown. Those two near INTs where he went brainddead. Those were lucky for us. But you have to have luck too with that kind of an QB.

You cant expect from him to play good football. But he did not lose the game. And thats a good sign.

Kinda hard to tell by just first game, but 180 and 1 TD, in this QB centric pass happy league, sounds pretty average to me.
.
For Dak 0 INT means a good game, regardless of the score or the opponent.
Statistically, bar is low for Dak.

He wasn't below average.

That was the league's top defense last year and it was their place.
Before Dallas dialed it back, Dak was playing pretty well, I thought.
