Read the first sentence again. He's not doing anything different than what Romo did and Garrett does, giving them very little. How many times did you hear Romo say "we've got to get better at that'? Oh yeah? You gonna go pass protect for Free?As opposed to what? What should he have said. He was asked a question and answered it.
These numbers are from 2017. The first set of games are Prescott's 8 games when the pressures amounted to less than 40% of his dropbacks. The second set of games are his 8 games when they amounted to 40% or more. The ranking in parentheses is where that passing performance would rank in that situation.
Alex Smith led the league passing from a clean pocket with a 115.0 rating. Prescott had a 115.4 rating from a clean pocket in the first set of games, which would have put him slightly ahead of Smith. Tom Brady led the league in passing when pressured with a 96.6 rating. Prescott had a 92.3 rating when pressured in the first set of games, which would have ranked 2nd to Brady if it had been for the whole season.

As great as the numbers are in the first set of games, that's how terrible they are in the second set.
Wow. Just wow.
Dude had 6 games with 0 passing Tds (we were 2-4 in those games).
Cowboys fans need to do better. We are talking about the Dallas Cowboys here. The biggest franchise in sports. Settling and being content with that kind of play at the QB position is insane.
If ugly coaches win games he is gonna be the best everHe looks like a young Bellicheat.
That 30 for 30 on the two Bills was pretty good.
Butler had by far his the highest catch rate of his career and most passes to him were deep.
Williams had by far his best catch percentages in the two years with Dak.
It's not about focus, and it's not about Dak. It's about poor player development. Since we won his first year, this poor coaching staff let him get by w/ poor fundamentals. We've been doing this for years, and it's horrific coaching.
And vice versa a wr needs to believe a qb can put it in a spot that is not gonna get them killed. An inconsistent qb breeds alligator armed wrs.Accuracy is not always 100% on the QB. A QB must be able to throw to a spot with the confidence that his WR is going to be there. Dez and T-Will have not been that reliable in route running which certainly affects Dak’s ability to be more accurate.
Not saying Dak doesn’t need to improve, but the passing game is a complex coordination of the entire offense and timing is a critical piece where every member of the offense must contribute.

All they do, in most instances, is acknowledge the question and admit there is a problem. I doubt anyone is more aware that Dak had some accuracy issues better than himself. He was aware of that in college too.
What he didn't say was that his receivers need to get better separation, recognize blitzes and their assignments, his OL has to protect better and his OC needs to call better plays. But I betchya he thinks that.
as I have said before the qb has to be much better than he was in the second half of the season or the rest of what every cowboys do wont matter defense or anything elseThese numbers are from 2017. I think the writings on the wall. You’re right about Jerry but I think if we don’t make the playoffs and win at least one. He’s gone. Why do you feel this is a make or break year for Garrett? Jerry is never predictable.
