Dak's contract

Been saying this for years... Jerry is already a HOF'r, 3 time SB winning owner, Franchise bought for under 200 million, and is now worth 7.5 billion. He does not care about what you care about!!!
If he did he would live and breathe trying to win a SB, hire the best HC, Front office, analytics teams, etc, etc, etc. There is no salary cap for organization, front office teams. Jerry is close to 80 and satisfied and fulfilled. It is us fans who have suffered since January 1996, the 1995 season. He just cares about the news, hype, sizzle, first take, ESPN, Skip & Shannon. Zeke, Dak, contract, all the stuff that has nothing to do with a winning organization. This is why Jimmy hated him, because he wanted all the glory but didn't do the work.
I have realized I am in my very early 40's, I saw 3 SB championships and I really don't expect another one. My top level expectation is reaching a NFC championship game. To me that is a sign of success.
I am not trying to be a downer I really am not but having seen Jerry's ownership from 1989 to present, we have 5 years while Jimmy was coach that Jerry was kept at bay.
I give Jerry credit for learning to draft better and stop trading two number one picks for WR's, but this organization needs a total cultural breakdown and rebuild...again I said cultural. Talent wise we are not the Jaguars or Jets..
This so called Americas team doesn't really compute anymore. This is the longest SB appearance drought. We thought the 80's were rough.
1992-1978 was the 14 year drought that Troy & the Boys squashed.
Now we are at 1995 --> 2021--Going on 26 years.

All owners are about the money. Every franchise is worth a billion dollars now and Jerrah is a big reason why that happened. The Joneses want to win, they just want all the credit. This team has championship potential, the issue is that 4 other teams in the NFC is just as good if not better.

Same two guys who have failed for the last 25 years and counting are still going to be calling the shots. They've gone through over 20 starting QBs during that time, and the current QB is easily in the top three on that list. But yeah, they're going to get serious in two years.

Be thankful for what you have, as long as it's the Jerry & Stephen show. This is as good as it gets.

We are the 5th best team in the NFC..........maybe 6th depending on how healthy SF might be on a given week. The problem with this team is the QB. No other guy has as much negative impact on the game as Dak. He seems to save his best for bad teams and prevent defenses.

The quarterback is the least of the Cowboys problems. Dak is a top 10 quarterback by most metrics. I will say that there are two quarterbacks in the NFC that are head and shoulders above Dak in the NFC Brady/Rodgers but Stafford/Murray/Hurts/ Jimmy G are not better then Dak. Stafford/Murray are on the same level. The Cowboys came into season rated anywhere from 6th to 10th in the NFC now every one wants to say the Cowboys are a disappointment.. The playoffs will tell all. Dak gets a home game against a top 6 NFL team. Can’t wait!!!!!!

When you cut out all the fluff and headlines, it is actually a 3 year 97M deal. Thats the guaranteed money. The way the contract is currently structured , we have an out after the 2023 season if Jerry doesn't do a restructure of it...........which I agree is a long shot.

The upshot here is that if he continues to struggle against everyone outside the NFC East, there is an opportunity to move on sooner than most think.

So for the greater good of the team we don't want his contract to be Restructured. Eat it for the following 2 seasons then we can dump him. We have waited 25 years what's another 2!

Outside Brady, Rodgers and Mahomes the same could be said about every QB including Josh Allen who makes more than Dak and I suspect soon Lamar Jackson who will be looking at price tag beyond that of Dak and Allen.

Well certainly MM would be on the hot seat in year 3, particarly if their is an opportunity to land Sean Peyton who is QB-less in New Orleans. Dak is guaranteed at least through the 2023 season. So, the answer may be to get a Sean Peyton in here to salvage his career. Hell, he had Jameis Winston looking good before he got injured.

Or maybe Jethro could revert back to his more puppetry ways with Moore.

Yeah he sucked going against Rodgers and Russ in the playoffs. We all know that Zeke kept us close against the Packers and our defense won the game against Russ.

I just don’t believe Dak is our weakest link. Our running game is atrocious . Elliott is probably our worst production for buck we have on offense. And our defense if it isn’t causing turnovers is well below average.

If fans are frustrated at 11-5 with Dak, imagine where we are without him. Yes, he probably not enough for more but he is enough to keep us “ interesting and relative “.

Dak is not what many of the homers think he is but he’s not as bad as the haters want to claim. It falls somewhere in the middle and why we are still a playoff contender .
