Dak's contract

Wrong. There really is no out. Jerry would rather ride an poor playing Dak than cut him for any of our backups. The chances of us Drafting a competent replacement is slim as they see this as a win now team. Dak is here for the duration of his contract and will probably get a big extension.

When you cut out all the fluff and headlines, it is actually a 3 year 97M deal. Thats the guaranteed money. The way the contract is currently structured , we have an out after the 2023 season if Jerry doesn't do a restructure of it...........which I agree is a long shot.

The upshot here is that if he continues to struggle against everyone outside the NFC East, there is an opportunity to move on sooner than most think.

DUMP THE BUM................ HE GOT PAID AND HE'S STILL THE SH6TY QB HE WAS BEFORE JJ WAS FORCED TO SIGN HIM. START RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry age will play a big factor into that decision he does not want to rebuild.

The money started rolling in after Jerry started making deals outside of the NFL with Pepsi. The Cowboys had a separate deal with Uniforms will Nike. Jerry is in the Hall of Fame because he helped turn millionaires to billionaires by promoting the League. He is the one leading the negotiations with the Networks. It makes me realize how stupid Cowboys fans are when they call the Joneses idiots while Jerrah buys a 275 million dollar yact and making sure his family won’t have to work again.

You missed the point... he is not an idiot when it comes to business. Also you are giving him too much credit, the rising tide lifts all the boats. He was highly involved but the CBS contract ended in 1993, and then FOX stepped in to flip over the table. Please point out a time when a TV contract for the NFL goes down in value..

He is an idiot when it comes to building a successful team.

Actually I just noticed he also has a roster bonus of 5 million for 2025 so his 2024 contract is worth 34 million not just the 29 million in base salary. Still doesn't change that much. 34 million for a top 10 QB will be a bargain in in 2024. We will have paid him 42 million per year for the 3 years prior why would we all of a sudden decide he is not worth 34 million per year? He will really have to start sucking. In reality he is a very consistent QB from year to year. He is almost guaranteed to end the year with a QB rating around 99.

Dude your clueless. 3 Super Bowls, the most popular franchise in all of sports, Hall of Fame owner, and won GM of the year award in the past. Let’s leave out some of the best drafts in recent history. Stephen A.Smith is so right about us…..:muttley:

If we move on from Dak at some point we’ll be in even worse shape. We’ll be just like a lot of teams looking for a QB every year. We’ll be bringing in veteran castoffs and burning first round draft picks trying to find one. We’ll end up like Washington who would’ve been a lot better off keeping Kirk Cousins. They already burned yet another first round draft pick on a QB that went bust. Dwayne Haskins didn’t last two seasons with them. The day we end up in that boat is the day we’ll be ending up with 5-6 wins per season. All we’ll have to look forward to is a top 10 pick every April. If you think the fan base is down right now you haven’t seen anything If we end up having to play musical chairs at QB every season.

Better get used to Dak. Top 7 qbs are rare.

Tired of hearing how Dak played 6 years already when in fact he missed 12.5 games in 2020.

Why on earth would we hope to win a super bowl when we can all post negative whiny posts about our players instead?
Yeah, I think half of this forum would leave for a few years if we won the Big One. They spend so much time hating or being sad that I think this place is like therapy for them. Don't you take that away from them by winning a Super Bowl, Jerry!

None of the on field success happened without Jimmy.
