Is that the best you've got? You don't know how to describe greed when you're talking about jumping from 40M to 60M a year?
And no you can't compare this to pricing a house with comps, I know about pricing houses. They have to produce "Comparable sales" to prove the value to the lender. Dak has become the highest paid player in the NFL and he certainly has nothing to prove his value above and beyond all the other QBs in the NFL. Not by a long shot. Thank you very much.
No they do not. I can put cash down and do whatever I want. Thank you very much and good day to you.

I specified "to the lender". And yes if a buyer foolishly wishes to pay the difference above the proven value with cash then yes he can certainly do so.
The same with other teams, they could offer a ridiculous amount of money if they so wished but obviously they didn't. They couldn't even show value with so called comps because nobody else was making that kind of money to compare to. Dak was holding out because he was betting Jerry was sucker enough to fall for it, and he was right.

Jerry is such fool and other teams would have done the same if he was a FA next year.

Jerry backed himself into a corner and did not want his house to repossessed and become homeless.

Wow, was that an ***-kicking
I lost a ton of respect for Dak...
His selfishness has screwed us (and himself).
Mahomes and Brady did it right...
They took smaller deals and allowed others to be paid properly, and got a better team around them.
Now Dak is even more exposed than ever.

His chance of winning a Superbowl is now even more remote than ever.

Mahomes is what, the 14 or 15th highest paid QB, and yet is the #1 QB in the league.

Dak is the highest paid QB, yet probably the 14 or 15th best QB in the league... and dropping

Go figure.
1. Tom Brady was married to Giselle Bundchen whose estimated worth was about twice his.

2. Mahomes' contact needs to be restructured next year. Check back then kid. Mahomes' deal is all about kicking the can down the road.

You might take some sort of online course on salary caps and then come back here

I agree about Jerry. LOL And if anyone else had offered that kind of money for Dak's level of talent, they would've soon found themselves in the same kind of situation we are currently in, a team in decline and not being able to afford to climb out of the hole.

I totally agree with what kskboys stated in an earlier post that we will not be able to contend for a Super Bowl while paying Dak 60M a year. That's my biggest problem with such a contract as was granted to Dak, and Dak can't play up to that level. Ultimately It's not Dak, or greed or whatever else, it's about reality. Jerry has painted the Cowboys into a corner with Daks contract.

Not necessarily. If he went to the Steelers that can keep the score down and run the ball he would have success.

No QB wins games on a consistent basis when they can't run the ball and the Defense gives up points on 70%+ of the drives.

There is a saying that says "Defenses win Championships." I have never heard the saying QB's win Championships.

True, and I agree with that in general about defenses, but you do still have to score a few points, and right now our offense is looking pretty sad.
I hope we find a way to patch some of the holes.

Thats not on Dak, no one is thinking about the SB when we haven't went in 30 years. This is entirely Jerry's fault paying that much money to a system QB.

Dak. Hell I'll never smack for going for money.
I'd love to smack the guy who handed it to him.
Along with 20 other epically stupid contracts over the years.

While I agree with the premise I do not place most of the blame on Dak. This FO has lost its collective mind. I thought they had finally learned something until the Dak deal was made. Now I don’t know what their plans are.

Like I’ve said before…the FO made the worst decision in their history making Dak the highest paid player in NFL history and that’s saying something since they’ve made some bad decisions. What a cluster.

It's still taking some Daksters some time to come to grips with this, I believe most here had recognized the regression on the first contract already.

Not if figured by the season. Which is the only way that matters.

Mahomes took a deal that his team could work w/, and has already let the team rework it. Gotta get your facts straight!!!!!!!
It was the largest deal in league history by AAV at the time and by a significant margin. The fact that it was eventually passed doesn’t change that.

Jerry and Stephens selfishness and ego has doomed this team.

Dak does not play defense and has no running game.

Dak is part of the problem...but he is not the whole problem or even the main problem.
Hit the nail on the head. But too many have a myopic view of Dak being the main problem. Dak is not an Elite QB like a Brady etc.. He needs a solid running game and a good O-line to succeed. Without that, he and this offense will fail. Pretty simple. This is a whole team problem, due to Jerry and Stephen IMO. How the heck do you make no effort in free agency after that disaster against Green Bay? It seems to me Jerry has lost his drive to win.

Which is fine because they were actually worth what they got paid, produced results, and elevated players around them.

Dak is a career journeyman. Dak knob slobberers deep down now he’s not worth what they paid him. Him being the highest paid QB ever is criminal.

JJ threw money at a turd hoping it would instantly make it gold.
I think you may need to learn what a career Journeyman is first. Hint: Dak is not one.
