How in the hell would trading a franchise QB and taking a risk on an unknown draft pick benefit the Cowboys? Are you even listening you your own logic? Jeez our fans are the absolute most uninformed.
That's what I'm saying Rock!

The same people that want to compromise us by intentionally losing for a draft pick....complain about how we suck at drafting. I'm like wha?

That is so not true. Did he choke against Seattle. Did he choke against Greenbay. He did have a bad game against the eagles last year, but I think that had alot to do with his shoulder.

Now if you add the games that he put plenty of points to win, the games where he drove down and took the lead just to have the defense squander the lead again...Was Dak playing Defense when the rams backup ran ALLLLL over them. what about the the drives stopped by fumbles and dropped passes, holds by the oline, and missed field goals by our kicker early last year. You simply arent looking at the situation holistically. The last 16 games this man has avg 32 pt per with the eagles, saints, and New England game included in that stretch. Every last one of those games had one of those things take place. Whats funny is Im not a Dak fanatic. Hes not Maholmes or Rogers, prime Brees, etc but he is no longer the bus driver he once was, and people still want to hold him there. If the Defense could stop anyone, there would be no question marks around Dak.

For whatever reason, people seem to have the hardest time accepting that a player can improve over the course of his career. Dak was better this year than last year and was better last year than he was the year before.. wherein he was better than the previous year.. It apparently hurts their feelings to have been proven so wrong about the guy that they just have to keep repeating the same old lies about him so that other idiots who feel the same way can chime in and agree with them. That way they feel validated in their brain-dead take because they're not alone. It is what it is.. they're not going anywhere nor are they going to get any smarter over time so we just have to live with them. Dak is one of the best in the business.. when they predicted he would fall on his face. And that's eating them alive. I know a few of them stood up and cheered when he got hurt.. but none has the cajones to stand up and admit it. But their instant declaration that "Andy Dalton will be better" or that "the offense will really take off now" gives them away.

Well, if Lawrence or Fields are expected to be available when the Cowboys draft, guess what. His stock goes down, down, deeper down.

Who says? JaMarcus Russell? Ryan Leaf? Akili Smith? Heath Shuler? Tim Couch? Art Schliter? Cade McCown? Todd Marinovich? Dan McGwire or Jim Drukenmiller? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Just because a bunch of internet experts keep repeating this doesn't make it anymore true. If the Cowboys let Dak loose on the open market there will be a bidding war for his services of teams NOT wanting to wait around to see if a rookie can take them to the next level. The Vikings are done with Cousins I believe this year.. The Patriots won't reup with Cam.. You think the Bears wouldn't love to have a competent QB? The Niners can move on from Garrappolo after this year.. Can you name Denver's QB? Dak was the #1 free agent on the market THIS year and he was in the same free agent class as Rivers, Foles, Brady, Cam, and Winston. He was better than all of those guys last year, was playing better than all of them this year and will be better than all of them next year. You guys keep hoping against hope that nobody offers him a contract... It'll be fun to laugh at you when he does sign. No matter where it is..

The fallacy of saying take Fields and boost the defense is that historically rookie quarterbacks don't do well, unless as in Dak's case you have at least a good bit of talent around him.
Even taking defensive players with the first two picks next year the defense is not going to improve by leaps and bounds. Your rookie quarterback is going to have to be a fair amount better than Dak to improve the team. In a couple of years the team will begin to lose players like T. Smith and others, so you'll have to start drafting offensive players, and there goes your big defensive improvement.

I'm of the opinion this team has 1-2 more years with the current crop of players, and assuming Dak comes back at or near 100%, having his experience, leadership and overall skill (throwing and running) to run the offense, you can go heavy on defense. The offense can put up points, it won't take a huge increase in defensive prowess to put this team in at least a competitive position...

He also had a torn ligament in his throwing shoulder and a fractured finger. You conveniently left that part out or maybe you didn't know.
And was miraculously cured for the next weeks game, torn ligaments and broken fingers heal in a week everyone knows that, why did you forget that part?????
Same old BS and excuses for another Dak statement game......

Okay that was way too logical.. You are now in danger of having your posting privs rescinded.. You need come back with a completely brain dead take based on nothing more than your misguided preconceived notions while insulting anyone who does not share your views.

Thank you,

Management.

I don't think the shoulder had a torn ligament but it was very much damaged in the Rams game. As a result Dak was not permitted to throw in practice all week. He clearly struggled throwing the ball in that game.. which was a combination of the injury and the elements. All hail Carson Wentz for being able to put up 17 on our crappy defense though.. And why is that it's only a "statement game" if we lose? Been that way since Romo.. People build a game up all week but then wait until the final gun sounds to determine if it was truly a "big game" or not.. If we lose it was big, if we win .. not so much. That whole deal is lame as hell.

Oh no not the what I posted isn't English claim by 9to5ers lol.
Okay...this is at least English but got no idea what you mean by "9to5ers".

I'm not part time around here. Although I do tend to skip stupid game day thread if we're on TV.
