Dallas D more dominant than it seemed

Denver may be worse too. Next week is like this week on steroids: worse O and better D. I predict much hand-wringing about Dak and the offense after that game. Of course, I also predict much crowing about our great defense. Both takes will be wrong.

Can't get much worse the the giants offense. But even if they are worse their d is better.

We played a team with a trash offense. Its good the d showed up but let's wait until we play a real offense week 5.

And in week 5 we get David Irving back. Demontre Moore comes back after 1 more game. Irving is prob our best DE, and Moore showed in preseason he can really help. We'll get Scandrick back in around 2 weeks.

All true. Simply stated the offense dallas
Played tonight was trash and that's not debatable.

But honestly, do u see Taco getting rave reviews in practice and training camp? TJ has been a disruptive force throughout practices and camps and he carried it into his first regular season game. Taco doesn't have the explosiveness of a good DE.

Cowboys have a talented defense

They just don't have a star pass rusher

As a group? Damn good!

When I seen the young safeties laying wood vs the Rams, I knew we were good! We had Wilcox replacement

After the season well know more about what we have, hopefully the young guys will keep improving as they get more game experience. We have better depth overall on the DL, once we get David Irving and DMoore back, well know what this group can be.

As I said before, how many snaps did he get tonight? Just curious. Doubt he played much with 8 DL active.

I know what they are! I can see it on paper. Hence why I picked the Cowboys to win 14 games and the SB!

Put it in perspective though. Before last December they were balling against lesser defenses...and put up only 7 against the Giants while going 1 for 15 on third down. Sunday night was an improvement (8 for 15) even if it did not feel, seem or look like it. More points, a higher passer rating for Prescott (90.5), who outplayed Manning, and 140 all-purpose yards for Elliot. I think the offense could have put up more points if it had been forced to do so but the lightning-fast, 2 possession third quarter made that less of an issue. Brown's pick sealed the deal.

From thin air.
But it was probably or could very well have been
" the purest thin air grasped from the very heights of the Himalayas, begrudgingly granted unto him by ancient Tibetan monks",,, so , you might want to take that into consideration before going full mongo,,,just putting it like I see it.o_O

Kudos to you for coming up with a very appropriate nickname for Scandrick.

:lmao::lmao2::angry:
I just now 'caught' that, as I am fully versed and well schooled in verbation of inebriation etiquette and just went with it:thumbup:

Why do you chose misery after a great victory against a hated rival?

Yes the Giants offense sucked but how awesome was it to see Lawrence just getting after it. Tapper got a sack. Sean Lee was everywhere and Jaylon Smith, What an amazing performance by starting and playing the whole game. I know it's one game against a terrible offense that was without it's best player but you have to be a little excited going forward.

What stood out to me was the tackling.

For years the fundamentals were so poor. Last night was tremendous, wrapping up time after time, first man not letting go, everyone taking good angles.

Really encouraging.

Pre-game, the general expectation was, despite the Giant's poor OL, Eli would still be able to pick us apart if we didn't pressure him. This was probably the most pleasant surprise for me: the Cowboys were able to pressure Eli both from the edge and up the middle. As good as DLaw played, I thought Collins and Paea had very good games against the run and pass.
