Dallas didn't need to re- sign Dak

:muttley: When the "agenda" overcomes the game itself
This coming from you is interesting. You don't let facts, football or reality get in the way of your agenda lol.

I know your just gonna "Dak is a dum dum" or "Dak over Cowboy fans blah blah blah" your way out of a discussion, but look in the mirror my friend.

I don't think pap ever denied his agenda. Others have.

"No agenda it's for the good of the forum and real "facts"", they claim.

For what it's worth, agenda isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'd say everyone has one. Whether you find them annoying or not depends on your agreement with your own.

Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but yeah at this point, it's hard to disagree with the argument that the Cowboys made an error in extending him. He was a decent QB before the signing and now he's got another major injury and getting older. The Cowboys will never get out of him what they put into him in terms of money.

Just another in a long line of dumb decisions by Jerry. When it comes to making difficult decisions on players, Jerry usually makes the wrong call.

I think you're being nice.

Weren't you pretty against re-signing Dak?

Absolutely no confidence at all in any Jones family member.

But not utilizing FA is a death sentence already.
Yep.

Yes, Jerry could totally screw up FA if they decided to be active. But there is the possibility that they might actually make a couple of smart signings that helps build an upper tier roster.

By sitting out FA to the extent they do each year, there is no chance they can actually build an upper tier roster.

To an extent yeah. Post GB blowout, I was in the camp of blow it up. New coach, dump Dak, look to draft a QB, play Lance, just eat this season to get better.

A competent GM likely could have tried to move him in a trade but Jerry is incapable of that kind of thinking.

Yup.

Sometimes FA just doesn't work out. But at the very least, take a swing at some good players, or at the very least pay positions that we're not good at drafting.

I don't converse with Church of Dak members sorry.
Yes, I've noticed lately you're playing the other side of the Dak coin but once a church member always a church member!
Now shoooo away good buddy!

I agree with you, but if a person has an unwavering agenda no matter what facts or reality is brought to the table... they have no ground to stand on when calling someone else out on their agenda.

Well....I do admit to admonishing others on this forum for "junking" it up... while at the very same time admitting I'm sometimes guilty as well.:rolleyes:

What gives people so much confidence in Jerry using free-agency?
We don’t want to use free agency, free agency is for that one player that you need to get over the top. We’re not in that type of situation. I don’t wanna player with the name I wanna player that wants to make a name.

He has a no trade clause, so he can veto any trade. But I’d bet he’d love to go elsewhere and would approve almost any trade. Problem is finding a team that will pick up his huge contract. And Jerry is not going to pay millions for him to play elsewhere.

So a trade would take Jerry Jones to seek it and offset the cost to the team getting him. And what could the Cowboys get for him. The Cowboys are not going to trade Dak Prescott….even if Dak would love to be traded.
Why would Dak leave the Cowboys to go to an organization who will hold him accountable for his chokes!!!
