Remember Parcells planet theory?

Big Bill thought that the planets formed around 4.5 Billion years ago when they condensed from a protoplanetary debris disk that had accumulated around the recently formed sun?

Wait... is that it?

That's actually Lil Bill's planetary and atmospheric gas theory.

Big Bill had the planet theory. Thanks for the correction.

Boooo on Wendys! They went and changed there fries a couple of years ago and now they suck! Dave Thomas would turn over in his grave if he saw the new menu! Lol

This. Those natural cut sea salt fries are meh. If I want to eat healthier, I certainly wouldn't be at Wendy's.

Going back to Marinelli's 2012 Bears defense...the Cowboys 2015 front 7 is seemingly shaping up similarly. Some comparisons.....

* LDE: Idonije & Wootton (both had 7 sacks ea. in 2012) ... the Boys will potentially have Lawrence, Mincey, Russell & Gardner, all capable of playing the position

* RDE: Julius Peppers (11.5 sacks in 2012) ... at some point, Hardy & Gregory should be on the right side, with Lawrence & Mincey both being able to play there as well

* 1-Tech: Paea (2.5 sacks in 2012) ... T. McClain, Hayden & Bishop are candidates, but if Hayden makes it he shouldn't again be asked to stay on the field at times in the nickel due to injuries, etc. (60+% of defensive snaps played in nickel in 2014)

* 3-Tech: Melton (6 sacks in 2012) ... Crawford is a base & nickel starter....guys like T. McClain, Whaley, J. Crawford (if he makes it), etc. could potentially see time in the base & nickel depending on how things shake out

* Nickel DT: Idonije often moved inside in the nickel for the Bears in 2012 ... think Mincey possibly plays that type of role in 2015, with other DE's like Hardy, Russell, Gardner, etc. that could potentially move inside as well

- SLB: Nick Roach started on the strong side & also in the middle for an injured Urlacher ... Hitchens has done the same for the Boys, and Wilson could be another guy with similar versatility

- MLB: Urlacher was still there in 2012, but aging & injured ... the Cowboys have McClain who made an impact, plus seemingly decent depth behind him

- WLB: Lance Briggs has long manned the Will for the Bears & did again in 2012 ... Lee is looked at to do the same for the Boys in 2015

**The Bears safeties in 2012, were Conte & Wright. At CB, Tim Jennings had a career year...Tillman started 16 games & was outstanding, notching 10 forced fumbles, 3 Int's, & 2 fumble recoveries

Really? Please go back and read the countless other threads on this. If you are using the total rush yards per game, then yes. Does that stat indicate even remotely how good the rush defense was, then no.

Ok what in your mind should we base this on, because the defense I watched last year was above average against the run and that's considering all of the injuries we had at LB and DT.

The only team to really go off was Philly and that was one game.

It is a fact that they ranked 8th. It's not an opinion.

They ranked 8th in rush yards against per game. That does NOT mean they were the 8th best at stopping the run. I was giving you more credit than that.

Yes, that's not an exact representation of their ability, but it should be reasonably close. Maybe offenses passed more because they were worse on pass defense; however, the defense ranked 15th in points allowed so they were not too bad.
