Big Mike didn't have the team ready. They played like it was a preseason game. What’s the excuse for the first game then?

Nah they were using excuses for getting swept last seasonBig Mike didn't have the team ready. They played like it was a preseason game.
Just going by the eyeball test, Dallas looks to be the 3rd best NFC team judging by Dallas' slow starts and how consistent the Eagles are on both sides and how dominant the 49ers defense is, along with their efficient offense unless the Cowboys really flip a switch and show out against the Eagles on Xmas eve finish the season strong, it may be a short Playoff stint.
I will be shocked.
But I will recover. I will survive, Ken.
You do realize that the 1st string Cowboys were playing the Eagles practice squad which still scored 26 points on Parson and company?
We played all our starters against their entire backup unit. Gardner Minshew and company still put 26 points up against our starting defense. You should know this. Beating down their scrub unit didn’t do us a bit of good, we went one and done the following week. By the way, no prize for you.
Of course I know. Does the post I'm replying to make any mention of who's playing?
IIRC Dallas is 4-1 over the last 20 years against Philly in January. Does that matter?
You made it sound like it was some great accomplishment the Cowboys winning by such a large margin. I wasn’t the only one who mentioned to you that our starters were playing Philly’s B team. It hasn’t mattered that we’re 4-1 over the last 20 years against Philly in January. We haven’t gotten past the divisional round of the playoffs while they’ve been to 4 NFC title games over that period including two Super Bowls.
You haven't recovered from the shock of being hatched yet, hoss
Only thing I did was provide the scoreboard of Dallas beating Philly in January. Just because Dallas beat Philly when they were not a full strength is irrelevant.
Playing to win a game with all your starters against a team that’s not playing any of their starters is relevant. Philly’s B team still scored 26 points against our starting defense.
I really don’t know what we were trying to prove in that game. We couldn’t beat good teams.
Where is any of that mentioned in the post I replied to?
Just because I provided what the poster was requesting does not mean I'm trying prove anything.
Love that hick, rural lingo, Remus.
You didn’t mention any of that I’m just bringing it to your attention and anyone else that may be following this discussion. Like I said, your post that I replied to made it sound like it was a major accomplishment beating down Philly in the season finale last year. It was brought to your attention by at least one other poster that they were playing with their B team against our starters. I really don’t know why you even brought up that game.
You need to read the post I replied to because it did not mention B team, scrubs, or backups. I know who Dallas played and the team Philly put on the field. I'm not here to argue or apologize for Philly or help anyone make their argument. Once you realize that then it should be clear I only provided what the poster was requesting.
My comment was directed at your post. You didn’t mention B team, someone else mentioned we were playing Philly’s B team. All you mentioned was that we beat Philly in the season finale last year and posted a link to the statistics of the game. There’s really no point continuing to argue it.
Of course I did not mention backups or whatever else. It does not matter what anyone else mentioned because it was after what I was responding to. It really should not be that difficult to understand. You seam dug in on a position and making assumptions.
