You have no idea what that 90's team did? Winning cures everything but they were far from being choir boys.
Right, that was when men were men, not ever payed crybabies. Most drove trucks and had a second job during the offseason, rode horses, was the pride of TX. That is when they won SB's.

Now days it seems that the kids just want to get paid first, and it should not work that way, IMO.

It shouldn't, but it does. They make their money off of fans that seem to care more than they do....that's why I've grown immune to it all. I just watch, enjoy the game for what it is and don't get worked up about things I can't control.

Wait. Back in the 90s I was told men weren’t men anymore. And in the 70s people were saying men were men in the 40s.

The Texans are going places. We are not. Enough said!
You may be right but there was a time we were saying the same thing about the Bengals, Browns, Dolphins and acouple other teams
My point is, yes they are certainly headed in the right direction but a lot can happen in 2-3 years.

ROFL, Schultz went to a 3-win team with 0 expectations.

They had a real good season and we will see how that goes for them now.
But talking culture after 1 season is legit hilarious.

Actually Dallas tried to re-sign him- but being the top ranked TE in free agency, he got a better deal from another team.
they made no real effort to sign him.
he took a large pay cut to go to the Texans on a 1-year 6M deal because Dallas wasn't interested.
playing on the franchise tag he dropped 2 passes in the playoff loss so Dallas moved on.
he is obviously happy in houston as they just gave him a 3-year extension for 36M.

Per Sports Illustrated: (Also reported in The Landry Hat)

"...the 26-year-old passed up a three-year $36 million deal to return to Dallas, electing instead to hit the free agent market."

The claim the "Dallas cut him" is factually incorrect.

He spoke of the distractions with the Cowboys. That’s one of the big problems. There’s always something that takes the focus away from football.
Media thrives on those distractions and yes our players at times give them good reason even if they are innocent in the end

That offer was THE YEAR BEFORE.
Schultz passed and they tagged him.

But yes, they did not cut him.
They let him play out his franchise tag and hit free agency.
They moved on with Ferguson as expected starter and always planned to draft someone out of a very deep TE draft.

Jerry seems to feed off distractions because it draws attention to the Cowboys. His training camps are like attending a carnival.
