Actually this does show heart. He was the 3rd string and I thought I heard he had a role with the practice squad guys in prepping the first team. This was mercy. Something that should happen with Mike M.
I was sort of being facetious. Yeah, probably a good thing for D. Jones. He's probably happy about it!! LOL

Yeah it is. Honestly I can't think of a single position group on offense where I would take the Giants players over the Cowboys. On the defensive side of the ball its a little bit different situation, but offensively the Giants might be the worst team in football.

Yeah but when it comes to the two teams, The Cowboys are just has bad as the Giants are right now. And many wouldn't view the Cowboys roster as one that could be a massive upgrade for a QB over a team like the Giants. As many analysts did not believe the Cowboys to be a good team or playoff contending team with the roster they had coming into 2024.

From Daniel Jones viewpoint if he was looking to go to a roster where he would feel like he would be in a better situation than he is with the Giants, even as the backup. I don't know if the Cowboys would be at the top of his list. Could be some playoff teams or teams who are on borderline playoff teams who will be looking to upgrade their backup spot. We'll have to see the offers he gets first.

If take their WR corps over ours... sad because they don't have much other than nabers but robinson and slayton would be the #2 on our team
Thats fair. Personally I'd rather have the Cowboy unit but its certainly not a huge gap either way. I'd give a slight edge to Lamb over Nabers. Slaton would for sure be the #2 on this roster, but again im not sure the gap is really that big.

possible he goes that route, in my mind I think it probably serves him best to go somewhere he could actually play to help get some momentum prior to free agency. Of course he may look to sit out the next few weeks in case a playoff QB goes down with injury.

He’s definitely getting picked up on Monday by somebody at vet minimum. Who is most likely to want him?

Miami, Tua has health problems and their backups are bad.

Minnesota, backup QB is out for the year and the other guy is Nick Mullens. Darnold has had multiple nagging injuries and you can’t let Mullens decide your playoff fate.

Tennessee, their QB is horrible and they’re definitely drafting one next year. Daniel may start immeditaely

Cleveland, if something happens to Jameis it’s the Daniel Jones show.

Dallas is probably the best option out of all of them. Jerry will not play Trey who he traded a 4th for because he’s that bad, but they still pulled Cooper for Trey in the Eagles game because HE was that bad as well. Daniel may get the job day 1.

This is not implausible at all that this happens.

DJ has never enjoyed an OLine a 10th as good as what Dak has had here throughout hi s career. I can see him resurfacing and resurrecting his career like Mayfield, Geno, and Darnold have.

Dam i didn't know they were making Daniel play safety on the scout team. Wow that is crazy they didn't just bench him they humiliated him.
If you keep up with real NFL stories you know in the know you know that this happens to many third string quarterbacks kinda part of the process there are others came out in the last two days and said they've also had to do this like most other third quarterbacks...

Jones is more of a project than Dak was. Better luck trying to get a QB via draft on a rookie contract.

This would actually be a perfect situation for Jones to sign here. Obviously not long term, but to audition for his next team

Not to mention that Jerry can see how nobody is excited for the Thanksgiving game. Jerry responds to money. Getting DJ for vet minimum to play against his old team becomes an immediate story line that becomes a money boost. Plus, he becomes a comp pick if he goes elsewhere. It's perfect for Dallas.
