He’s definitely getting picked up on Monday by somebody at vet minimum. Who is most likely to want him?

Miami, Tua has health problems and their backups are bad.

Minnesota, backup QB is out for the year and the other guy is Nick Mullens. Darnold has had multiple nagging injuries and you can’t let Mullens decide your playoff fate.

Tennessee, their QB is horrible and they’re definitely drafting one next year. Daniel may start immeditaely

Cleveland, if something happens to Jameis it’s the Daniel Jones show.


Dallas is probably the best option out of all of them. Jerry will not play Trey who he traded a 4th for because he’s that bad, but they still pulled Cooper for Trey in the Eagles game because HE was that bad as well. Daniel may get the job day 1.

This is not implausible at all that this happens.

blueblood70......maybe you should make mention of names like Brad Johnson, Jon Kitna, Stephen McGee (1-0), Kyle Orton, Brandon Weeden, Kellen Moore, Andy Dalton, Garett Gilbert and Ben DiNucci too. Only McGee had a winning record since this franchise got "lucky" with Tony Romo (undrafted) or Dak Prescott (4th round). Other than the "lucky" moves......there's been no indication that Jerry/FO could lure a viable QB to lead this team. Jerry had good reason to worry about whether he could rebuild with another quarterback because there is no guarantees in the draft there are teams for decades looking for a quarterback and one of them would be the New York Giants some would be the Washington dead skins and The Jets and the Browns and the Jaguars and all the other ones I don't even have to list I mean Denver they all made the mistake of going out and getting a guy like Prescott or worse for a lot of draft picks some player capital and then hand them a giant contract all Jerry did was sign his own guy who's already proved to be a good starter in this league he didn't go out and waste draft picks to do so I mean I get the frustration but this threads keep getting Dumber by the day..

now you want proof that would be trading three first rounders to move up and get Trey Lance you know the other wonderful franchise in San Francisco they're one of dozens of teams that have made this mistake or gone out and got a veteran like Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers or worse deshaun Watson and then with a bunch of draft picks there's lots of proof that Jerry has not made the worst decision by bringing back Prescott..

The guy had it as rough as can be his first 3 years in the league.

If he cant play, he cant play. But you cant judge Jones based on his first few years using team stats or offensive stats...his o-line was so bad he literally could not get a pass off.

He would refuse to be a quitter and not come out of games in blowouts...even when he was getting his butt kicked physically with sacks and hurries, he would stay in games.

I assume Daniel feels like getting benched isnt fair and parting ways to try and salvage his career is best.

I really would like to see him on a team with a good o-line. I would assume your decision making speeds up when you played for 4 years behind one of the worst o-lines in football. The game might slow down significantly for him on a team with a decent o-line.

Kid got his butt kicked with sacks and hurries more than any QB during his New York tenure.
