Well, he played in 3 games McFadden did. Only 24 carries total. Didn't know it was that low. But he is a vet and the team just didn't use him because of Zeke success.

question is upside and downside.
what is the most they lose if they pick him up.
upside - he is a super cheap rb in 2018 and 2019 when we only have zeke, even if he cannot play in 2017.

He isn't available because he can't play. He is available because of an injury and when your a back down on the depth chart and get injuried this is what happens.

I like Jackson and thought it was silly to cut him when he could contribute to the team. That being said now that he is injuried.....plus the injury to the knee) it's time to move on from Darius Jackson

Jackson was waived Thursday after the 2016 sixth-round pick injured his knee. Unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team, he's likely stuck on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

Since Darius Jackson will be IR for the rest of the year and Morris will most likely be gone this year or for sure next year it would be a way of stockpiling a RB if they liked him. Basically, comes down to potential of Jahad Thomas vs Darius Jackson.
