I've heard the "Remain calm, all is well" line plenty of times before.

The fact is that these injured running backs have a history. Of being both disappointing and injury-prone. And these recent reports do nothing but reinforce that.

There is unfortunately no treatment for Bungholiosis.

Who cares. He's one of 3 or 4 backs that are going to carry the ball this season.

There isn't going to be a main guy in Dallas this year. They're going to go by committee. If he goes down they plug someone else into his committee spot.

I think someone will emerge to be the primary back and will see close to 200 carries on the season.

The most unlikely candidate would be Randle. Williams and McFadden may have more talent but their health will always be a concern. The kid from Baylor is the unknown factor but much will need to happen before the season begins for him to even have a shot.

It is something I know I will be keeping an eye on. As I have mentioned before I think the Cowboys will continue to monitor the RB position and would not be surprised to see them bring in others to compete as we get closer to training camp.

That's how I see it.

It will either be Randle or back "X", who's not on the roster as of yet.

What I don't understand is the hatred for Murray.

The last two years he posted 2966 yards from scrimmage.

You'd have to go back and count every yard he posted until half way through 2010 for McFadden to accomplish that.

Why are we still talking about an Eagles player?

I agree with you on the hatred. It seems that people want to rip apart Murray to justify the fact that we didn't re-sign him, or that he's with a rival or that we didn't go after a legitimate replacement.

Is this what we're reduced to as fans?

Yes, Six. This is what we are reduced to as a society, I'm afraid.

Chill out everyone. No need to stress. Phillip Tanner is still available. I don't think anyone signed him right now.

Rolando McClain worked out well for the Cowboys last year. Most everyone here panned that trade and ridiculed GM Jerry Jones. I think McFadden will do just fine.

Last year at this time it was the DL that had many on the ledge ready to jump. This year it is the RB position. If the OL stays healthy, RB will NOT be an issue. So, R-E-L-AX:)

McFadden is a free look-see.

But I've heard it said about hamstrings, especially when Miles Austin was here......they're like rubber bands in a rubber-band fight. Once you pull it so many times, it doesn't work the same anymore.

Not sure the DL is that good of an example. Pressure was a major issue going into the year and it still was an issue at the end of the year, which is why we added the best free agent pass rusher available in Hardy and another in the draft in Gregory.

I like the pieces we added last year to the DL, but we took a low-cost approach which gave us some rotational contributors but no stud pass-rushing threats.

I don't think that's a good approach at RB, where we need at least one back whose a real threat. Like with DL, we might just be searching at the end of this year for the best FA back available.

Lol mini camp didn't even start yet and the hate is full on. How come when it always happened to Murray it was fine but w McFadden it's s different story already. Let's just wait this out. Damn.

the IGS won't allow that. minds are made up now and truth twisted to this as soon as it happens later.

You do realize your 1st sentence contradicts your 2nd . . .

At this point, it might be all we're left with, so I say dig deep and don't throw any of it away until it proves to be junk.
