I am not convinced of that yet.

Mcfadden looked great in the last mini camp and provides a great pass protector in blitz pick up.

I see a 60/40 split with Dmac as the lead dog.

It appears you see what you want to see. Despite what is actually happening.

Two months ago, McFadden was going to be productive and no problem to a lot of you. Now he's the joke of this forum? Crazy.

Mcfadden should have never been a consideration UNLESS we had a secure #1 RB. This hammy is going to linger all season and we'll be hearing "He's day to day" - the guy hasn't played a single game for us yet and we have to be cautious with him? If we're going to bring in a veteran, just replace McFadden with Jackson/Johnson/Thomas. I'm not saying those three are ideal RBs, but they will be on the injury report far less than McFadden.

Im still on the McFadden bandwagon.

I said all along that I think he can play but I had no confidence in his ability to stay healthy.

If he gets hurt between now and the start of the season he'll get cut.

Nope. Did he not look phenomenal in mini camp? If you didn't see him run, then you are not basing your opinion on reality. I would recommend you go back and watch some of that video. His vision and speed is on another level than Randle...sorry.

What? For all of those 10 carries with nobody hitting him? Forgive me if I don't get too excited.

You stick to your youtube highlights and I'll deal with the reality of the fact that we have a guy who can't be relied upon to even stay healthy when nobody's tackling him.

No need to rush or get excited. Dallas has 2 backs that know the offense with game experience. DMC is a vet insurance policy. Gus Johnson looks like a nice PS candidate. We are fine. No need to push DmC yet.

I worry about Dunbar being a healthy enough back also. He has been hurt a little too often considering how little he has actually played. Maybe I worry because he looks like a little kid.
I believe there is plenty of reason to worry at this point....however I also believe there a very few options for us at this point. The time to fix the RB position would have been in free agency or then in the draft. I would have liked to see us sign Ryan Mathews or CJ Spiller to compliment Randle. When that didn't happen I felt very certain that we would address this in the draft. I even wondered if we would move up a little and take Gordon (knew Gurley was going to be around). Then pick after pick and round after round I watched as our front office created this.

At this point we are all hoping for camp casualties, disgruntled players, or some trade where we give up almost nothing....

The reality is we will most likely go into the season with Randle, McFadden, and Dunbar....and a fan base that holds their breath every time McFadden carries the ball.

Yet the Cowboys front office made no moves other than the DMC signing. Not saying I agree or disagree but I sure don't see or hear any panic coming from them.

It is.

You don't put rosters like this together in Free Agency football.

You look at what is getting to the Conference title games and Superbowls and you have to love what we're working with this season.

Top to bottom Dallas has a top 3 NFL roster.

I wouldn't call it amazing, but we do definitely have one of the deeper rosters in the NFC right now.

Im thinking they are waiting on DMC. If he starts actively practicing next week, they stick. If he is in and out of practice, they replace him.

So what is the assumption here, that they're absolutely right in their approach and above anyone questioning them?

The overall consensus is that there are a lot more people questioning Dallas' approach here than there are those endorsing it.

When have you ever heard a team express panic in situations that you knew called for panic?

Can we change the thread title to "McFadden may return...sometime, maybe. And then probably get hurt again and to maybe return again." ?
