Sometimes these things are a smokescreen ,
you look at it different than I do,
but Washington looks better on paper but Larry tunsil didn't have his best season last year, he gave up more pressures, sacks ,than he has in recent years there's a reason they're willing to let go of the left tackle on a team that had all kinds of problems on the offensive line.. let that sink in a little bit. these guys are allowed to walk maybe they aren't as good as they used to be and by the way Deebo's been on a steady drop off a Cliff the last three years, he's not that good and by the way you missed one they added a defensive tackle but guess what he looks like about the same price and the same talent as Allen, they lost Allen they're plugging holes and it's just all paper..
you all think Samuels is somehow a weapon and that they got better adding him, I say you're wrong,
but hey we'll both have a chance to see who's correct once we see how they play but Tolbert had better numbers than Samuels had last year, in the last three years he stole money from San Francisco the man has been on a steady decline since 2021, I believe that's the year he got paid ,he's just been average ,he's been a Jag, you remember that word being thrown around here? do you really think San Francisco would have let him go that cheap if he had anything real left to offer...
I'm surprised that some of y'all who looked very In Sync with what sports is about how teams are built and what free agency and the process on how it works.
after day one making all these judgments but not really looking at the reality of some of these players, they are not all the same player as they were when they built their name, they've been living on fumes, and now when another team adds them it looks like they got better, but it's really just a name..
it's just something on paper because all I seen is teams losing about the same amount of players, they had right now they're just moving pieces I don't see where they got better at all until it gets proven on the field, I've seen paper champions in the offseason before and it it didn't work the free agents didn't work...
Day one of free agencies a slippery slope most teams are overpaying because they're being targeted by more than one team it's day one and everyone's worried so they're all going after the same people and it's costing them more money.
You're right San Francisco looks like they're in rebuild mode, like I don't understand that now they're saying that they pay their quarterback they can't keep any of their core team. Ironic huh?
I mean they've lost about 25% of their team from last year already but I'm betting they're not panicking because they have five months to get the roster set up before game one, just the same as the Cowboys and everyone else day one doesn't mean a whole lot ,there's a lot of good free agents at every position still left probably about 10 players per position still out there, and more to come because.. I know a lot of players are going to be released in the coming weeks and especially after the draft.... be a lot of good players still there. trades will be made.
And I get it nobody trusts the front office, and I understand ,
but I am not going to prejudge this team by just looking at the background they chose to paint the picture but have yet to start actually creating the full picture on the finished product that would be really ignorant of me to judge A-Team by the color they chose for the background of a painting they haven't started actually putting their vision on the canvas. actually putting their vision on the canvas
that is what becomes a problem around here it's social media everyone's judging a team of day one and they're looking at what everyone else is doing but they're really not seeing it clearly i do those names you mentioned up there for Washington don't impress me. I realize they look good on paper but what I saw last year from those players not that impressive.
For me, I have a full wide open perspective for every one of these teams signing a player they came from somewhere there are other teams that are getting worse, and some teams may look like they're getting better in the end ,it's almost a wash, some of the better teams from last year are not going to be as good and some of the bad teams are going to be better..
so, you're still competing I guess about the same competition... And I'm watching teams do a lot of this work yesterday some of them like the giants have no quarterback Pittsburgh Steelers have no quarterback and some of them picked up quarterbacks that have not been very good elsewhere and they're going to be a big question mark.
so again, it was 24 hours, and we have 5 months left. I'll save my judgment until the picture is actually fully painted...
