Uh oh. Sounds like he's cracking. Roy, you're a target because of what we gave up to get you, the amount of $ we're paying you, and the lousy sneak preview you gave us last year.

Correct , but I'm hoping he proves them all wrong and has a great season :star:

Shut your mouth and let your play speak for itself. You want the naysayers to go away? Make us proud that we decided to engineer a questionable trade for you by blowing up on the field...

Amen.
Most of what he said was ok, but the "Why am I a target?" crap has got to go. Just shut people up with your play - and that goes for the whole team.

I think the guy is going to have a really good season. He's got too much ability, he's too smart, his hands are too good, and he has too good a team around him not to succeed.

His hands are CRAZY good.

you said it best guys, if Roy doesn't understand the situation he is in then I guess he just zombied hiself all the way through the 2008 season geez.

This is the Cowboys, and he is now the #1 receiver on the team what does he expect.

If a certain someone had adopted your advice, he would have, in my highest opinion, retired as a Dallas Cowboy and that's the God's honest truth. :)

Of course, I had followed the majority of his career and personally had very little doubt that was ever going to actually happen--again, the God's honest truth. :)

Just wondering what those 3 picks would've turned out like on draft day. And wondering how much more cap space we'd have had we not shelled out a 5 year 45 million dollar deal for an average receiver.

For fans to be on his side? Call me crazy but I thought fans pulled for players instead of looking to bash them at every turn. RW is here he has some things to prove given the fact he did not contribute much last season. RW has nothing to do with TO hell he was one who wanted TO back but some feel the need to go off on him for something out of his control. In the meantime RW is going out to the ranch and putting in the work and working with Romo to develop chemistry that only comes about by putting in time with each other.

Can't argue with that.

I've said it before... Roy working with Romo was sensationalized, he wasn't even able to cut or run full speed, remember? Media ran with that just because they saw him around the facility a few days.

He needs to put in the work in the film room so he won't be so confused on the field. Which worries me, apparently our WRs terminology and their route trees are relatively simple - well it looked like rocket science to Roy.

Aikman bashes him because he covers games and saw that he ran poor routes, was slow out of his breaks, and didn't do anything to help the Cowboys last year. Roy rounded off his routes and rarely looked like he knew what he was doing. Aikman's opinion is exactly right though, their is no seat hotter than Roy Williams. And Roy has said all the wrong things so far here in Dallas. He made just as many excuses and got just as insecure as the rest of our guys when the media came knocking on their locker.

Irvin bashes him because he's the reason Owens is gone, diva or not - at 37 he was much more productive and demanded much more attention than 27 year old Roy did/does/will. Irvin loves Owens, he's just standing up for his guy - and calling out the guy that took his place.

Emmitt is just keeping up with the Jones's. Hardly anything he ever says makes much sense, but he's exactly right about explosiveness. Owens added a dynamic, and demanded safety coverage - even at 37 he opene things up for the rest of our team. Can Roy Williams do the same? Because last year I couldn't see him get by one on one coverage against a team's 2nd best corner.

So keep being hopelessly hopeful, I'd rather have those picks and the cash back. Ya'll keep believing he's something he's not.

Does anyone think that Emmitt and Troy are tired of seeing 'their' team lose and are trying to motivate RW11 by their comments? I know they are analysts, but could there be an ulterior motive for their comments? It would never have wroked with "That Player", but it seems to be getting to RW11.

At the time of the report that was true how much time has gone by? I have seen RW play and I have seen him put up good numbers on a very bad team. I know he can do the job. Now if you got the hots for TO then go pull for the Bills because Frankly I don't get 2 hoot about TO he is not a member of this team and the other 2 he has played got rid of him as well that says a hell of alot when teams are willing to ditch a talented player because of his own mental frailties. As for Aikman he also said he think RW can do the job but i guess you missed that as well because it does not fit you narrow mind that is set on RW failure. You may have an opinion but you have no clue just the same petty ars BS. Day after day

Your tireless defense of Roy and his pathetic 10 games last year is petty ars BS.

Can Roy match Owens' production? Because from what I've seen, we let a 37 year old walk that demanded double coverage and drew our opponents best corner every week, while averaging 80 catches 1200 yards and 13 TDs for us. For a guy that couldn't get past single coverage and our opponents 2nd best corner, at the ripe age of 27.

10 games, 18 catches 190 yards and 1 TD. Injured, confused, whatever. Pathetic.

Tireless of giving a guy a chance? I don't predict what his numbers are frankly I don't care about the individual numbers that is like having 13 Pro Bowlers and not winning in the playoffs it is meaningless to the success of the team. RW came to Dallas did not get to work much with Romo and that does play a part in why a QB will tend to look more at guys he has worked with and has chemisty with and a reason why Romo and RW are putting in work now to develop that but you don't understand that frankly you don't understand much just the same bashing because your feelings got hurt because your Boy TO is sitting in Buffalo do everyone a favor go pull for the Bills because it seem you interest is only in TO

I think he has a right to ask. If you believe the media (and some fans) he never had a chance in 2008 because every pass was forced to Owens.

He has a clean slate going into 2009, why is anybody questioning him?

Probably b/c it's starting to dawn on people that production may drop....why would production drop....Owens is gone....ok, so then it must be the fault of the guy who's filling Owens' shoes.

Dallas doesn't need Owens for drama...he was the least of this team's problems...

I think everyone was underwhelmed by his performance last season. He just has to prove it.
