Wow, I've enjoyed his hard work over the years and because of a much bigger picture than football I am deeply saddened to hear this news. My family's prayers are with DC, his brother and whole family.

I might not have agreed with his opinions during his time here, but there was no doubt of his love for the Cowboys. He brought us some very memorable pieces and opinions to this community. My prayers are with him and his family & friends.

Thanks for the heads up hos. Really brings to light that this is a diversion from everyday life. Not life and death as it seems at times. Prayers for the family.

Wow this is incredibly sad. I used to work the nightshift so his blog and videos and podcasts used to be a staple for me every single day.

Many have read his blog or heard his podcasts. He was controversial at times. He is still too young to be cashing in his chips.

His brother posted this on Facebook and his website I think.

Unfortunately I have some terrible news to share. Brian Gallagher aka DC Fanatic has taken a turn for the worse. I met with his doctor and nurses today and due to his condition there is nothing more they can do for him. His blood pressure has gotten so low that they can no longer do the dialysis on his kidneys. His lungs are too damaged from pneumonia to take him off the respirator and had to be put into and induced coma. I was appointed as his medical proxy and have the most difficult task of deciding when to let him go peacefully. He has told me many times that if it ever came to this and that there was a time when he could no longer be him to not make him hang on. To be fair to everyone who knows and loves him I am allowing a few days for you to make your peace with him and tell him how much he meant to you. If you can make it in the next few days to Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY I suggest you do so. If not, I understand and so does he. His condition is very delicate and they do not know how long he will make it on his own. As per his wishes I signed a DNR so time is sensitive. I am truly heartbroken and am devastated that I even have to say these words. I want my brother back! But I also will not let him suffer. Be at peace and we will always be together.. Duke..

oh yes..

I have something to say..

relax and don't fight it..

and go to a place where peace and serenity await.

You are blessed to be loved and appreciated by those around you.

Do not hesitate about following his wish for no recessitation.

This frees him to go..

I've had that same responsibility with my Mom and it hurt...

..but it was what she wanted..

so do what has to be done with a proud heart and clear head.

And pray when your time comes..someone like you is there..

for you.

Sad. Condolences to the family, of course. His brother appears to be handling a difficult situation with grace, too, which is about all you can say when dealing with the death of a loved one.

Anybody have any more background on what precipitated the illness?

What a shame I've always enjoyed that he shared his passion and enthusiasm and did quite well for himself being a fan. Best wishes

DCF's broadcasts and posts were always filled with passion for the Cowboys and football. They and he will be sorely missed. God bless him and his family at this most terrible of times.

Wow, this is very sad. No one deserves to go through that. I hope he finds peace and won't have to suffer for much longer. Prayers go out to him and his family.

His blogs and pod casts were one of the only sources of new content that we had before twitter came along. Bit of a ball buster and pot stirrer, but was always a great guy.
