dcfanatic Is On Life Support & Not Expected to Make It

What do you say to this?

After all is said and done, it can be said that DC Fanatic was huge Cowboy Fan. He put a lot of time and energy into the Cowboys and that's something we can all appreciate on this board.

What can also be said, and more importantly I think, is that he is way to young to be facing this. My heart felt sorrow and prayers go out to his family and his friends. I wish him well and I hope that a miracle can be had but if that is not to be, I wish him peace.

Thank you Hos, for bringing this to our view.

Thank you Duke, for being a loving Brother.

DC Fanatic, thanks for sharing a continual experience of our Cowboys with us.

My prayers go out to all here and about DC Fanatic. To his family and all his many friend.

Thanks, DC, and you will fondly be remembered...

Wow, I am very sad to hear this. Have followed his website for some time, and came to know him 1st on this website befrore his exit.

From his pic, he looks to be pretty young. Anyone know his age. I'm guessing early 30s. He truly loves the Cowboys. Peace to him and his family.

What a tragedy. Our prayers for a miracle and peace if not for him and his family and friends.

So very very sad.
He was one of the more frequent posters when I first started coming here, and as such instrumental for me learning about the game, the team and it's history.

His screen name said it all - a true Dallas Cowboys Fanatic.

Wow what a terrible week this has been. These kind of events remind us all of what is really important in life and to enjoy those we love as much as possible because the man upstairs could call us home at any time.

Prayers and well wishes for you, you're brother and your family.

Sorry to hear this. This has been a bad week for Cowboys Nation.

My Mother was in a coma for two and a half months, with lung complications, and came back to us out of it...a prayer here.

Many have read his blog or heard his podcasts. He was controversial at times. He is still too young to be cashing in his chips.

His brother posted this on Facebook and his website I think.

Unfortunately I have some terrible news to share. Brian Gallagher aka DC Fanatic has taken a turn for the worse. I met with his doctor and nurses today and due to his condition there is nothing more they can do for him. His blood pressure has gotten so low that they can no longer do the dialysis on his kidneys. His lungs are too damaged from pneumonia to take him off the respirator and had to be put into and induced coma. I was appointed as his medical proxy and have the most difficult task of deciding when to let him go peacefully. He has told me many times that if it ever came to this and that there was a time when he could no longer be him to not make him hang on. To be fair to everyone who knows and loves him I am allowing a few days for you to make your peace with him and tell him how much he meant to you. If you can make it in the next few days to Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY I suggest you do so. If not, I understand and so does he. His condition is very delicate and they do not know how long he will make it on his own. As per his wishes I signed a DNR so time is sensitive. I am truly heartbroken and am devastated that I even have to say these words. I want my brother back! But I also will not let him suffer. Be at peace and we will always be together.. Duke..

My sincere condolences, very unfortunate news. I live in California, if I was closer I would most def go and visit.
Prayers to your bro and family from Cali.

In times like this, we put the pettiness aside and ban together. Although I've never met him, I feel like I know him (along with Shango, Mr. Boots and the other bloggers and vloggers who are fanatical when it comes to our Cowboys). We just never know what's around the corner. Let's keep dcfanatic in our prayers and remember to always cherish the lives we have been given.

If anybody's interested, the family's mailing address is up on the dcfanatic blog if you wanted to send a card or condolence directly. FYI.
