Decided To Share What I Know About WR Roy Williams...*RUMOR*

I think it might make more sense for the Lions to make a trade with us before the draft.

They have the fifteenth pick. If you pair that with our 22nd or 28th, they would have a ton of options. They could package both picks to trade up (a lot higher in the draft than we could) or simply stay where they are and get two young guys.

I would trade the #22 for Roy Williams right now and grab a CB at 28, Ray Rice hopefully in the 2nd.
There you go again. Making all kinds of sense.

Good stuff Hos. I was reading on the Lions message board, they suggested trading us their #15 and Roy for our two first and second. Interesting idea.
That's exactly what I would like to happen. Then we draft Mendenhall.

I was hoping that our 2 1sts and a 3rd would get the deal done.

So is this going to happen by the end of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love roy williams on this team.

The fans would be severely confused though, when they hear the name roy williams would they boo or cheer?
lol we will have to start calling WR RW Bevo and S RW Sooner or something of that nature.

Lord - please don't go for a WR that was beat out by Furry and Sean "lil" McDonald on the field.

People get enamowed with pedigree and :initial" draft status farr to much. The Henson factor so to speak. If hr was all that Detroit would have him locked up -

He "may" want to Dallas - thats nice and all -

NO

Hey, YoMick doesn't even have 12,000 posts yet, that ain't much...

Certainly not by Hos' standards... :D

I respect Hos and love his posts but his entire post is reiterating how much ROy WIlliams loves Dallas and my repsonse to that is so what???

Roy Williams is not a free agent and therefore where he would like to play is completely meaningless. He has no say so whatsoever where Detroit would ship him too.

The other problem I have with this is if Detroit wanted to move him why not field offers like the Eagles are doing for Shepherd??? Get 6 or 7 offers in, weigh them, and then make the best move for your team. Why would they settle for the 28th pick in the draft when I am pretty sure the Eagles would give #19 to them, for example..

Jax, you don't understand one aspect fundamental to this situation, that being this is the last year of Roy's contract... so unless Roy is willing to sign a contract extension with any team he's traded to, trading for him would amount to a one year rental... do you think any team's gonna give up much for one year of his services??

So you're quite wrong to say that Roy has no say in this situation, in fact he holds just about all the cards...

Now, if the Iggles can convince Roy that he's better off in Philly, that would be one thing... but Hos's point is valid, Roy really wants to come back to Texas to play (in large part, because that's where his daughter is, and he wants to be closer to her)... so if he really wants to come home to Texas as badly as Hos says, and other mainstream sources have suggested, then the Boys or the Texans are the only two teams who would realistically have a possibility of getting him to agree to a contract extension in the event of a trade...

I am the friend Hos mentioned.

Roy and me go way back. Back to that scuzzy but tough little district that includes Abilene, Big Spring, Midland-Odessa and San Angelo.
Roy listens to me and I am telling him right now to do the right thing and listen to Jerra and to make me his agent.
If Roy Makes me his agent, free beer and burritos all day for all on the day of the signing.

I am also Tiger Woods.

Then you should be at an all-night driving range, you're 7 shots back... what are you doing posting in here??

Do you expect to win the Grand Slam by slacking off, son??

And Lastly, I heard we were allowed to have opinions, yes?

Only if they agree with mine...

You'd know that, if you'd ever read the FAQ...

Even with the bold bright red disclaimer, someone wants to poke holes in the opinion. I just don't get it.

Oh, it's really pretty simple, everybody hates Hos... but they're just jealous of his superior inside info...

When you're naturally superior like me and Hos, many of the inferior masses resent your superiority... it's the cross guys like us have to bear...

I'm tired of the McFadden threads, but not so foolish that I can't see that if McFadden falls it could change a lot of things.

If he falls...

That caveat is the big difference between me and some people who can't talk about anything else and who if he ends up here will be insufferable.

That's not fair, I'm not talking about it, and if he winds up here, I plan on being insufferable...

Oh, wait a sec, I'm already pretty much insufferable... never mind...

Hey, it had to happen sometime... I'm just glad I lived to see it...

Thanks for sharing this, Hos. I'll be thrilled if we have Pacman, Roy Williams, and a nice complement to Barber after draft weekend.

Your 90-10 confidence that the Roy trade happens has me even more juiced for the draft than I already was, and I didn't think that was possible!
