Oh I know they'll blame the salary but it's one year. Create the room and go for it. Instead of sitting there and making the same excuses year after year that only lead to failure.

Your offense could have featured Lamb, Deebo and Jeanty. It would have cost you a 5th round pick and some pushed down the road cap space.

Option A - trade a 1st round pick for Deebo and his contract

Option B - Negotiate in free agency with a Stephon Diggs/amari cooper/Chris Godwin type and try to sign one without giving up any draft picks

I think this is only a miss for Jerry if they don’t participate in free agency. I’ll wait before bashing him here.

I’m not. I’m just going by what I’ve seen thus far.

Deebo is not a good fun receiver to just utilize as a route runner. His value is his running ability as well.

He has averaged a bit over 200 yards rushing a year in his career. Last year he had 139 yards.

Just want folks to keep his “running back” status in perspective
