I love the zone. Two games out of 16 and we're Doomsday again.
That's hyperbole and it shows you didn't even read the thread. Par the course for you though.

But we were lost in defense which essentially means ANYONE can beat our D. And rankings say one thing but the Titans have a solid offense. Hunter, Wright and Washington? Its not what the Bears throw out there but that has to be a top 10 receiving core. Then they have those 4 running backs.....
I know Philly and Indy go tonight so at worst the Dallas "America's Team" Cowboys would be 13th in overall defense as for POIimprovement.TS / GAME ..... which I believe is the number one judge of a defense, because after all you win or lose by the SCOREBOARD .....
Not sure about y'all ..... but I'll take it ..... That's better than I thought they would be and I hope they can stay in at least the top half in the league much less the top third where they are now ..... now I know it's just two games into the season but still I'm going to give the Defense some credit
11th in points / game (19.0)
13th overall in yards / game (316.5)
12th overall in passing yards / game (212.0)
16th overall in rushing yards / game (104.5)
and if you're interested in the offense:
18th in points / game (21.5)
8th in yards / game (375.0)
22nd in passing yards / game (201.5)
2nd in rushing yards / game (173.5)

People are going to say "its early" and "this means nothing" but I ask those same people, did at ANY point in this season you believe we'd be 11th overall in defense? I know I didn't. I expected us to come out the gate and have to score 30 to win every game. Well, ATLEAST 30.
Last year after two weeks, Eli had more yards than Peyton, the Texans were in first place, and Miles Austin was top 10 in the NFC in receptions.

Come on.....who's said this? Its about progression. We're seeing progression as of now. Last week no one had any problems with everyone saying "We're the worst team in the league".
I expect we will give up points when facing high powered offense, heck the NFL rules are set up for offense. Even the great seahawks forked over 30 point to SD yesterday. My hope is even in games like that, the defense will find ways to rise to the situation to make critical stops to give the team a chance.
Get back to us after the saints game.
Against the true elite teams, I am thinking were going to get schooled petty handily. I wont mind those so much so long as against the rest of the league were playing good solid ball. Course that said, New Orleans I figured would be top tier, I'm not sure what to think at this point of the season so far. Just goes to show any given Sunday. This is a weird season and weird things can happen, like the boys in the playoffs...dare I hope. .

McClain and Church both playing very well!!!
