At the end of the day it's an offensive game, and in todays NFL, a great offense usually beats a great defense.

This isn't the 90s or early 2000's anymore where you could win with great defensive play. You're not allowed to play defense the same way anymore and the game has been geared more towards the offensive side of the ball while more rules have been put in place that make playing defense harder.

These defenses were #1 and #2 in the NFL in sacks and both teams put up at least 30 points.

Jalen Hurts accounted for 4 TDs while Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP and played lights out. It's a QB game now more so than it's ever been. As Warren Sapp said recently "You train to be within 1 score at the end of the game now and you let your 100 million dollar QB take you home". That's exactly what we saw last night.

A good defense is a great thing to have, but if you don't have the offense then you don't have anything.
A thread about defense disguised as a thread to rag on the QB yet again. Come on man. We get it. LOL. And we agree.

It’s funny because Chiefs got a fumble touchdown and it changed the game completely. You still have to get stops. Something the Chiefs couldn’t do……until that fumble.

The Chiefs won the Super Bowl because they have an Elite Coach/Play caller and quarterback. Philadelphia, Jacksonville and Cincinnati were more talented teams.
Absolutely and if you have generational quartberack play and a hall of fame coach- defense can mean less for you. However the game was turned in the first half on a defensive play that if the team doesn’t get likely loses.

For the rest of the league who 90% of don’t have a generational quarterback or playcaller….defense is still imperative and extremely important.

The only sarcasm was the xp part, but even that was a toss up in the playoffs with Maher.

Our clock management and decision making in critical moments is sometimes mind boggling.
Yep, Its sad when what you said was more likely than you kidding around.

Probably, but yesterday was a clear example of how small the margin between success and failure is.

If one or two plays go a different way, Sirianni would have been anointed as an all time great, now he isn’t.

How is Parcells viewed if Scott Norwood makes a routine FG?

The Chiefs defense gave up 31 points.

The Cowboys defense giving up 31 points is a loss for the Cowboys because Dak probably only gonna get ya 10 in a big game.

People are changing the narrative of the game but Chiefs defense stood up in the second half when it mattered. They were fast and stopping everything the Eagles wanted to get.

Eagles defense wasn’t nearly as unstoppable in the 2nd half. Why do you keep bringing up Dak why are you deflecting from the Eagles loss?

Cool story, Rowdy.

When you pay a QB that kind of money he has to earn it. If he can't, you are doomed because you've devoted too much cap space to the bum to build a team around him good enough to win with.
Our quartberack is paid 9th soon to be around 12th-13th twinkle star. 3 qbs in the league can lead a team on their own. Literally almost half of the quarterbacks in the league will be paid that money.

Will take a good defense and a good offense for us fallen star

As well as Hurts played and the Eagles were the more talented team by a mile. It was the advantage of having Reid and Mahomes. To much to over come. Hurts made one mistake and the game was lost.

One mistake where the defensive capitalized. I agree overall - just hard for others to tell me defense doesn’t win championships when it literally may have in the game we just watched
