Two honest questions:

1. If we start this off season, how many years will it realistically take us to build an "elite" defense capable of winning a Super Bowl like Denver's?

2. How many years will Romo have left as a starting QB by the time the defense reaches "elite" status?

My opinion right now is that it will take longer to build an elite "Denver-like" defense than Romo has years left in his career. I am a big fan of Romo BTW.

Took Denver 1 year

I think it's also interesting that the Broncos very much relied on FAs and players not drafted by the Broncos to play key roles:
  • Manning (QB)
  • Ware (OLB)
  • Ward (Safety)
  • Talib (CB)
  • Sanders (WR)
  • Daniels (TE)
  • Evan Mathis (G)
  • Vasquez (G)

Credit to their GM Elway. I imagine Daniel Snyder is watching and weeping.

So on the CB's board, only a defensive player is #4? Not qb? Otay.

Could be a OT, not sure what your problem is but you need reading comprehension courses....maybe that would help you from assuming so much

Keep trying though

You know what ive learned from my history of watching super bowl winning teams? Make a plan and stick to it. Dont try to create last year's champ every offseason.

So what plan does Jerry & Garrett have as we head into year 7?? When is it time to stick a fork into a plan with no ROI?

We've already had a sample of what Wentz would look like here with our current offensive staff, and it didn't look too much different from what we had this year. If there was a Winston, a Mariota, a Newton or someone along those lines that fell to us, sure, use the 4 and get a qb. None of these guys coming out really dominated. I'd much rather use that pick on defense, especially since Marinelli has had elite defenses before.

Which of these qbs would have gone in the top 5 in the last year's draft? Goff is the one guy I'd consider spending a 4 on, but he is going to Cleveland.

Osweiler's a free agent, I believe. So Denver doesn't really "have" him any more than any other team.

There's this funny thing called a franchise tag. They've actually got Brock exactly where they want him. Weird.

I never said not to get defensive players in the draft. ......nice try though

Huh? What are you even talking about? I clearly stated your plan to get defensive players in the draft.
It seems you are trying to deflect so many posters at the same time that you are mixing up what people said and who you are replying to.
Relax.

Wentz, from what I read, was 6-10 (if I remember in the Senior Bowl). And had a few drops from his recievers.
