Well considering only 5 receivers coming out ran under a 4.4 (and of those 5, only 1 is considered a 1st round talent), I'll take my chances, the kid is a play maker and can be coached up.

Yeah, but this receiver class is the absolute pits.

You can't look at 40 times as an absolute anymore. You have to view them relative to the other players in the group, IMO. Somehow they've gotten faster every year, when the players on the field haven't -- or haven't by nearly as much as 40 times have decreased. I'm pretty sure Carlos Rogers (along with about 15 other guys) ran faster than Newman's 4.38, but does anyone think he's faster than Newman?

That's just one example, but there are tons others.

DRC's second run = 4.34

Cromartie = fastest DB in the group. Hard-hitting tackler. Great instincts. Great ball-skills. There's no way he's lasting to 22. We can start getting over him RIGHT NOW.

Patriots could take him at 7.

overall, this is a subpar speed class at CB, noone is running great today except for DRC and Terrence Wheatley

The 2nd group is about to run. Flowers could drop hard. He doesn't have the speed for man-to-man and he's not big enough for a Cover 2 type defense. LOL @ Mayock having him in his top 10 overall.

Football players don't play without their pads. 40 time is a gauge but he doesn't look slow on film. Everson Walls didn't run a great 40 but he's an ALL Pro. Don't get fixated on 40's.

People who run a fast 40 may not be able to play football worth a damn, ie. Goodrich.

DRC is out of control. I think he will be there at #22. I would throw up knowing we missed out on both of the cromartie boys. This guy is fast and physical....not afraid to lay a lick on someone. This guy is going to be all over sportscenter tonite.
