Yep, you nailed it.

Deion drove a big wedge in that team with his behind the scenes comments about Aikman and John Blake dividing the team with his racial hatred.

This is very familiar territory that no one is talking about yet.

The issue you mention was brought up on here around the time the controversy first broke, but the thread was closed, because people couldn't discuss it rationally and intelligently. ;)

I have been trying to avoid this issue as it is truly my worst fears going forward. If there is a racial divide in the lockerroom then we are in big trouble next year.

And :hammer: to Deion has always been and will always be an idiot.

Figures. I thought maybe they had found out exactly - without a doubt - who the mole was.

So Deion expresses his OPINION but says it as if it's a known fact, as if everyone already knew.

I hate that POS.

Yeah it's funny how people credit deion for us winning superbowl XXX. IMO, he's the reason we didn't win one more. The dude was a major distraction and a detriment to the development of our young DBs.

Yep, he was the primary reason, that team went to hell, i..e mid 90s, along with Switzer. And now he his doing his bit, not the main reason, but his bit to pretty much destroy the team.

But then, then, its totally on Jerry though. He got the cancer, TO, here and he is already pretty much on target to destroy a third team. I am sure, we will have claims that TO is not a bad guy, and its all media. Yet his apologists in the Media seem to be pointing fingers.

I hated Deion even when he was on the team, and still hate the guy. Deion was TO before TO, except Deion is far more intelligent than TO on how to play the game.

Forget next season, he might have helped Romo pretty much become a basket case. Serves Jerry right. The guy never seems to learn, always taking up troubled guys.

I'll start.

The guys like Troy and Moose showed up to work everyday and worked really hard.

While guys like Deion and his posse showed up smelling like weed together and barely even tried at practice. Or put in any extra work.

One group said something about the other group, and the other group fell on an age-old crutch.

Whats there to discuss?

I missed that discussion and I'm certainly not trying to stir that kind of thing up.

It is truly my biggest fear because I do not know how Romo can get this team back if that is at the root of the problem. The only way I can imagine would be with new, strong leadership at the HC position that puts an end to that kind of crap before it festers.

Wade certaily doesn't provide that kind of leadership.

Wait, so its Deion and T.O's fault that Tony is a basket case?

Tony is just mentally weak. Troy dealt with 10 times as much **** as Tony deals with, and he still got it done.

Don't blame other people for one guy being weak.

Everything else is pretty spot on.

Stepnoski spent a lot of time smelling like weed too, but at least he worked hard, and never opened his pie hole.

Work ethic was the main thing that was destroyed during the Switzer era. And it was certainly Deion's attitude, and Switzer's laid back approach that allowed it to fester.

The reason I don't buy this is that Andy Reid is a very respected coach, and TO tore up his team, too.

I don't think there's any coach who can stop TO from pulling his act... Except to insist TO isn't on his team to begin with.

And IMO the way this could be solved would be to cut TO and announce to the rest of the team that everyone on his "side" can either deal with it, or ***** and moan about it for another team.

Yeah Ok. I guess McNabb was mentally weak by getting baited on by TO. Whatever ... your defense of TO is.

Second, I said, Tony might turn to be a basket case or become one,not that he is already one. I guess its not like he is trying to force passes to TO already to appease the guy ....

I think some people miss the point.

It doesn't matter who the actual "mole" was that went to Werder. It only matters who players like Newman and TO think it was and you can bet Deion got the names Romo and Witten directly from TO and Newman.

It probably wasn't locked, so much as it was moved to the PZ.

Why didn't Deion go directly to romo and Witten and find out first hand?

Jerry rolled the dice and now he's paying the price.

Just as soon as TO came off "contract probation" and he got the big, 3 year deal he reverted back to his old ways. The Deion interview on the NFL Network was absolute poison.

The question Eisen asked him was who were the so-called "cowards" Newman referred to in his comments? He answered Romo and Witten. You get that info from Newman not Romo and Witten.
