The question Eisen asked him was who were the so-called "cowards" Newman referred to in his comments? He answered Romo and Witten. You get that info from Newman not Romo and Witten.
Exactly, why wouldn't Deion go straight to Witten and Romo and get their side?

It's much easier for Deion to continue using the race card to divide the team.

Did Deion say anything about race? Maybe I missed something or y'all are jumping to conclusions.

Or he was guessing because TO said that.

I know Deion and Newman used to talk and text sometimes, but he was never Deion's pet and protege like Pacman is now.

I have been trying to avoid this issue as it is truly my worst fears going forward. If there is a racial divide in the lockerroom then we are in big trouble next year.

Indeed we are if that were the case. I think not but who am I?

I think it's more about the fact that of 53 guys 2% aren't made accountable for their actions and, of the other 98%, half probably fume over what they see is a double standard.

Racial issue or no racial issue... Jerry has a huge train wreck on his hands and Wade is the conductor.

I haven't seen anything as it relates to this team.

Back when he was playing, that's another thing.

Yep, you nailed it.

Deion drove a big wedge in that team with his behind the scenes comments about Aikman and John Blake dividing the team with his racial hatred.

This is very familiar territory that no one is talking about yet.

You are correct. He's a jerk and a clown mixed in one.

Oh okay good. We're just left with a mediocre team for next year.

Thanks for this great talent that is going to win championships ;)

Deion is a cancer. He always was. And TO is just like him. Their charisma will always take some guys with them though, and that is what has happened here.

Romo and Witten are in trouble here, and a guy like Wade isn't enough of a buffer, in my opinion. Neither is Garrett. Jerry was and is the only guy who could do something about it, and he hitches his wagon to the charisma more than anyone. Aikman and Deion can tell you that...

 I'm so surprised.

You see the problems, similar problems have also infested San Fran and Philly, but you are still one of the biggest TO cheerleaders around here.

Back to the OP, I'd like to see a link or a transcript of what Deion actually said before I conclude that he's just on another idiotic jag. This thread has high potential for having been driven by hearsay.

Probably jumping to conclusions some. But, remember before Ravens game, Marshal Faulk was blasting Dallas Media about not getting on Garrett more vs Brian Stewart and also blasting media about jumping on TO vs coddling Romo?

And Deion was there on the conference call laughing it up and saying good questions or somethign to that effect? Media here, at least on Radio, speculated whether Marshall was calling on Racism there or implying it.

Anyway, with Deion, nothing ever surprises me. He probably might be instigating that or maybe TO is calling it behind the scenes. But somehow I have tough time believing in TO doing that. I think TO is an idiot, but he is not that savvy manipulating guy like Deion can be.

Not to be rude, but Deion Sanders' opinion on what we should and should not do is to be taken with a grain of salt.

I really hope Jerry Jones is smarter than that.

I really hope.

There may be alot of things that can be said about Jason Witten, but coward is not one of them.
I guess this is just more crap that originated with that meeting the receivers had with Garrett.
The more I hear, the more I believe this team is just about ready to implode. What a joke:bang2:

give me romo and witten over to and newman any day of the week

to is class but witten is a warrior

As for newman, he is so overated it is untrue - The biggest mistake that Jerry has made has been to tie so many for so long especially newman and flo

We should have traded flo to the dolphins with our no 1 used on Jenkins to move up and get Long. We could have then traded newman for a no1 in order to sign a young cb like talib/cason

This year by not making the williams trade we could have packaged picks to move up to get crabtree who will be a beast ....

We would have been set for a long time

Im pretty sure it allready happened with the 38 point defeat in a playoff game against a division rival, but I could be wrong, it could get worse.

Either way, I got my popcorn ready.

Deion suggested Aikman was racist back when he was playing in Dallas; supposedly he said that to John Blake, which started the whole Aikman is a racist controversy in 1995.

Deion was probably the single biggest factor in bringing down the team of the 90's, other than the GM.

Stephen A. Smith interviewed TO back a month or so ago, and then on an interview with ESPN radio after that, he suggested that race plays a big part in the Witten/TO/Romo feud.

Was that trade being thought of?
