Romo sucks bottom line, and until he steps up or they find a big time QB, Dallas will be in trouble for a long time.

No. Guys who suck don't put up the numbers he has put up, win most of the games they start, and make 2 Pro Bowls. That Giants playoff loss was not even close to his fault (see Crayton, Fasano, Reeves, Williams and the numerous penalties). You can say he's mistake-prone at times, but "suck" is just not even close to reality. Give him a little protection and he is amazing. See how other QBs do when they are pressured like he was this past month - they do nothing. Watch Eli against us in the 2nd game, watch Brady in the SB, watch Peyton in those playoff games against the Pats.

But it was smart that he went on TV last May to talk about #38 right.

What did he say again?

Oh yeah. He said that Roy looked like a 'Deer in the headlights' last offseason, was working to control his weight which is basically saying he was a fatso and finished up the segment with a trifecta by saying Roy also 'had a bad year' in coverage?

I suppose he was trying to right the sinking ship that was Roy Williams with those comments as well right Mrs. Newman?

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

You know what? I don't think Newman meant to be malicious against Williams. It didn't sound good for sure. I bet he wishes he had those particular words back.

However, you have no love for Roy Williams, so get over it.

I bet you wouldn't call me "Mrs. Newman" to my face, "bro".

Terence Newman plays his rear-end off for me every week. I don't throw daggers at him when things go wrong for him. I stay with him.

You are pretty weak. You have yet to address your double standard in regards to Romo thowing the offensive coordinator under the bus. Oh, yeah. He's an offensive player and on your avatar. You never addressed the irony of your attacks on Newman in regards to Wade Phillips, your favorite target for daggers.

Thanks But I'm pretty sure your mind is made up so I'm gonna skip the foolishness...

Methinks you are as well. This is the problem. All of us are now in two camps. I don't ever remember in the history of the team (I've been a fan my whole life) that we have had such a divided team. God, I wish for the good old days when we had Roger, Tony D, and Drew Pearson/Butch Johnson or when we had Tony, Emmit, and Irvin.

The wasn't places like this to come and debate. I'm sure there would have been some doozies when Jimmy left, when Walsh won the only game in the 1-15 season, when Jimmy was hired and several hundred other debates...

Using Deion Sanders to try and pin Newman down is suspect, again.

So, let me get this straight. Terence Newman is going to call out the "cowards" in the media and not confront them, face to face when he knows who they are. Then, he is going to tell Deion Sanders that Romo and Witten are the moles or cowards. He is going to do this knowing that Deion Sanders will probably blab it all over televison and reveal who he was talking about. If he does this, Newman can't "hide", anymore

If Newman is the "coward" some of you call him, he isn't going to want Witten and Romo to find out about who he was talking about. A true "coward" wouldn't risk his name being linked to Tony Romo and Jason Witten being the cowards by telling Deion Sanders anything.

A true coward wouldn't want to face Romo or Witten at work everyday. That is why they would not confront them or calll them out.

Cowards don't take risks like telling Sanders anything. They are cowards, and cowards go under deep cover.

They don't hide, and then, blab to a talking head about who they were talking about, because they would have to face them. A coward would never put themselves in that position.

Newman has already admitted he it's 'hard to go up to a player because everyone is so defensive' with a gripe...

Newman talks lack of discipline

So he won't go at them about being late for meetings, but you think your boy is going to stand up to them about being a coward and talking smack to the media as an 'unknown source'?

Sure he is.

The difference is that there are always debates but this is different IMHO where the team has broken down and no longer trust each other. I bet there wasn't an us vs them during those times.

Ok......you are a smart guy. Why did the team rip apart this year? There have been a number of players who have mentioned that this "mole" was still a problem. There was a revolt by the WR's that frankly was an anti JG, Romo, and Witten movement and that gone away either. There is no question that this is not a team that is together but instead a team that is backstabbing each other and are not acting as a team.

You lost this entire message board 15 letters after OK, lol.

Let's not forget the second part of what Deion said. He said he felt the team could get past these divisions, because they will be better on the field next year. The Defense will be fine and Garrett will improve. Anyone buying that?

See, this is an example of what I was talking about earlier. This time I know the comments dc fanatic is referring to, and dc is twisting them completely out of context to try to make his point.

I'll buy into it if Deion will shut his mouth. I would feel better if we also let TO go AND had Deion shut up. I don't think former players should be stirring the pot. I was never a big Deion fan because he was always about himself. Remember when he wouldn't go inside the huddle because he didn't need to. That did nothing to have the young guys learn how to be a team. Get him out of our teams business and it will go a long way to being true.

LOL. You definitely haven't heard my shows with Grizz and Shango recently because I have been all over Romo.

And why would you think I give the offense any breaks.

I am an equal opportunity 'non-homer' who bashes the team on all fronts.

This team wasn't all that bad this year, considering all the circumstances. I think the reality is we performed above expectations in 2007 and most Cowboy fans are slow to admit that.

Fixing the turnover problem and getting back to converting first downs at the rate we did in '07 will get us exactly back where we need to be as a team capable of winning it all. I don't have any doubt at all that Jerry and Wade will do whatever they can to get there. They may not make the right decisions, but it's definitely possible.

What am I twisting?

Those were his comments.

His BFF even admitted he thinks Newman probably wishes he could take them back.

And you know I have that interview right?

Why not just keep #38's business out of his mouth?

I hope you were watching the Eagles-Vikes game today where Aikman said that when he spoke to Tavaris Jackson that the kid admitted the pressure of everyone in the media talking about how the Vikings season hinged on his performance this year affected him when the season began.

It basically makes you look like a no nothing based on what you were arguing in that 'slaughter thread' the other day.

See, you don't understand a thing, do you?

Pressure of EVERYONE depending on your performance is one thing. Idiotic conspiracy theories and people being distracted by BS mediots like Werder is quite another.

PM me and I can go over it a little slower and way more elementary- if you need to.

And "Know" when used in regard to intelligence is spelled K-N-O-W but I am sure your unfamiliarity with KNOWing anything or intelligence is what caused you problems there...

You're welcome.

Watch the interview. He said what he said.

Now the entire world has to sit around and wait for people to explain themselves after the fact about comments that made them look bad?

You know that's not how it works.

The bottom line is that he should have just went with 'Roy is a good player and he's working hard to get even better'.

Instead he said he looked 'lost' in coverage by saying what he said in refence to a 'Deer in the headlights'. Then he said Roy had a bad year in coverage which went completely against what Roy was saying. Roy never openly admitted he had a 'bad year in coverage'. So why is Newman saying it in a TV interview for the world to see?

I could care less what he said after everyone made a big deal about it and then he decided to try and take it back by saying that's not what he really meant.

We know everyone does that these days.
