Watch the Video.

Listen to the tone.

You will see.

I have, and I disagree. This is exactly why the offseason sucks. It gives you guys too much time to over-react to anything.

But see that's the thing, everything that goes against the popular opinion isn't necessarily an over-reaction.

The whole board thinks Free is the answer, or atleast, the whole board knows that Jerry and Co think he is and appears to be our new starter at LT.

Someone posts a video which has a player saying some things that may suggest Free might not be our best option, and then suddenly everyone else is saying people are over-reacting. There's no way that's what Ware meant!

 Ware said Austin or Hurd needed to step up. Austin did. He said nothing about Free. That means he doesn't think Free has it IMO. He had faith in Austin and Hurd.

I think a trade for a 1st and a 3rd and a $9mil contract made it a fact that Roy was replacing Terrell Owens.

I think Ware and anyone watching at the time knew this.

And from there you are now talking about the 3rd WR position where we all knew there was competition going into camp for this job.

So now are we supposed to use your thought process on Ware's comment and determine that the LT job is up for grabs?

OR HAS IT BEEN STATED TIME AND TIME AGAIN PUBLICLY BY JERRY JONES THAT IT'S DOUG FREE'S JOB!!!

His silence is deafening!

so let me get this straight. one final time.

On april 19, 2009 Demarcus ware does an interview with babe lafuenberg.

During the spring of 09, the biggest story of the offseason was Owens being released, the story surrounding it was that no one could replace him.

The media was all over Roy Williams for not being able to do this, in every sentence we heard from every media member first it was owens and then it was williams.

So during the interview ware voluntarily brings up owens and mentions hurd or austin need to step up, omitting crayton and ROY WILLIAMS.

Yet this is not seen as a diss or whatever.

Now on April 20, 2010 Ware does an interview with espn. During the interview he voluntarily brings up losing flozell and says we need someone to replace him or bring him back...omitting DOUG FREE.

This offseason the big story has been about Flozell being released and having nobody to replace him, the first name that comes out of every media members mouth after adams is Free.

Yet ware doesnt mention free, but he is dissing him because he believes he cant play? This is what I am supposed to believe?

Even dc has said a few times that it's not an outright diss.

I could care less if Ware dissed him or not. What I do care about is the fact that Ware doesn't seem to think Free is our man.
That's the whole point. I think "diss," I think intentional. If it's not a diss, and he unintentionally didn't mention Free, then why would you think that he doesn't think Free is our man?

If you think Ware really doesn't think Free is the guy, then you would have to think that Ware intended to leave him out.

I'm simply saying it was an unintentional omission.

Yes it was!!! LOL

"When is the last time you heard someone say I am going to take a vacation to Cleveland" :lmao: :lmao2: Slate? Can you answer?

If you play the audio backwards Ware says Free sucks. It's clear as day.

You can think someone is not your guy without dissing them, intentionally leaving them out or not.

However Ware just might not have mentioned him because he didn't think he IS the guy. I mean, I just don't get how you talk about bring FLO BACK before you even utter Free's name..

"Doug's been going against me every day in practice," Ware said yesterday in the News. "He stops me a lot. He's practiced against Greg [Ellis] when he was here. [Anthony] Spencer, a lot of good pass rushers. To be honest, Doug is really good. I think it's about him getting his confidence and even in practice I told him instead of going against the second-team guy I want to practice against you because you're going to have to go against a good pass rusher.

"I'm going to help to make sure he's ready so it's not going to be anything he hasn't seen. He's going to see the real thing in practice. I'll go over there."

Well, that's not a dis. Ware seems prepared to help Doug Free live up to his potential by going against him and showing him the ropes.

Free may not be the best long term answer, (time will tell) but if you think starting a rookie IS the answer, then I'm glad you aren't on the coaching staff. He's the man this year, for better or worse. And frankly, it doesn't make me uncomfortable. Much like QB's, LT's don't just grow on trees. You can't just call 1-800-LT to get a new one. So, there is no veteran coming to the rescue. And I don't want a rookie covering Romo's blind side.

DCFanatic Owned by Ware's mention of Free. Damn. There goes that agenda! Whoops!

Actually you only reinforce what dc is saying. If Ware was speaking so highly of Free in that position he'd more than likely not forget to mention him when discussing the LT position and who is going to man it.

Yea...

I was just being facetious...

I remember in the 'ol Bill Parcells days, whenever he didn't mention any specific player or didn't say exactly what someone wanted him to say, the old phrase used was "his silence is deafening".

I figured it apt.

I mean, Anthony Spencer hasn't mention him either! His silence is deafening too! ;)

Do you really think Ware has thought about Free being the LT in depth? Then do you really think he has concluded through virtually no reps as the starting LT that Free is not the guy?

If you've answered yes to the prior two questions, and Ware has already concluded Free isn't the guy, why doesn't he say "we gotta draft someone or bring Flo back because Free isn't the guy..."??

I mean you guys would have us believe Ware HAS to know that we all think Free is going to step in. If he's already concluded that Free isn't the guy, like you apparently think, why would he be cryptic about it and not just come out and tell everyone that Free doesn't have it??

Do you think Ware is just being nice and not throwing him under the bus? Then why would Ware give Free NO CHANCE to prove him wrong?
