Twitter: Demarcus Lawrence impact in Seattle

Maybe it's not just Micah, Dallas misses.

Often underrated and criticized here because he didn't have big sack numbers.

Which is kind of funny, because the Parsons had the big sack numbers and people criticized him as well.

It seems like players like Lawrence only play here while they are on max contracts. Does anyone think he would have stayed here with his current contract averaging 10/yr?

The media loves to focus on single players, just like Jerry, but if you don't have a balanced squad then you don't have jack shyte. Dallas doesn't miss individual players, we miss the long ago days when we had a strong defense.

new team good defense, new culture, there it is about football not brand or marketing yourself.
But he would probably be better than what we have here now , if he had stayed here.
At the time no one knew micah would be traded either.
..they have better DC's. Our DC thinks he's still in CHicago.
Let's blame the ones who handled the contract negotiations with Micah. It should have been handled back in the spring. Common sense would tell you that. All the other teams in the league would have done it the correct way. We are stuck with the worst GM in the league. And they were the ones that ran D.Law off.

More credit should be given to Seattle's DC, former Cowboys defensive line coach, Aiden Durde. Most likely, he took an active role in getting Lawrence to come to Seattle.

Durde has transformed the Seahawk's 3-4 defense into one of the best defenses in the league. Lawrence is one part of this story.

Lawrence is now an OLB in a 3-4, which makes him more unpredictable in passing situations

Seattle has a Pro Bowl LDE, Leonard Williams , and their 2024 1st round pick, NT Byron Murphy is having a breakout season.

The Seahawks have been sneaky good on defense all season long but they can no longer keep it a secret.

He was underappreciated in Dallas for sure. He never had the big sack number save for one season, but he was always double teamed and someone the OL had to account for. He had a lot of pressures and happened to be one of best run defenders at DE in the league. But, he missed a lot of games.

The irony is that if Jerry had PLANNED to move Micah, we could have afforded to re-sign DLAW. Seattle only guaranteed him a 18M on the 3 year deal. That is palatable if you don't have to pay the other DE 46M.

He actually has a chance for a championship in Seattle. He should've left even if the pay was equal unless he just wanted to stay for family comfort and didn't care about winning.

You hit the nail on the head with Tank.

The Tank they are seeing was not the guy who was here the last year or two.
Really, Id say that TANK wasn't the same after he got his first big deal. Sound familiar? You can say that now about Diggs, Bland, Osa, Smith. Thats one hell of a pattern Jerry has going there.

IMO the beef between both was from last year.
When Law left, he mentioned he wasn't going to win a SB here, which started some twitter back and forths.

I read a nugget a while back ( I will try and dig it up) from an insider that their issues were deeper. DLaw "we were tired" statement was a shot at Parsons and a few other teammates who spent the night before the GB playoff game partying. That is supposedly what he meant and why Parsons immediately responded. I will try to dig up the article.

Since DLaw never dogged it, that makes sense.

If he cared about winning , he would have shown up in one of our playoff games. badabooom!

They have a talented D so it’s not surprising. I wait for the injury however. He won’t play his whole contract folks. The dude is an amazing run defender. Very good at crashing the play

You mean guys like Turpin already created an after party celebrating the victory?
