Twitter: Demarcus Lawrence impact in Seattle

Dallas shouldn't miss Micah.

Dudes on pace for like 20 tackles and tying his worst sack total for a season with 12.5 (tying last year when he only played 12 games).

Oh, but I guess we're supposed to miss the "pressures"

I was glad to move on from both these guys, because D-Law is Dallas was lazy from the culture.
I wonder how many pressures Anthony Spencer had… lol

You guys are nuts. Dlaw was a a DE that made a lot of huge plays other than sacks. He was super high effort guy (I get it, when healthy) when he played and does not deserve the snips on here.

Pretty simple, if we had kept him, JLew and Micah we would have a playoff team. They could have even added Quinnen!

Maybe it's not just Micah, Dallas misses.
Nice find WG! I was thinking we were missing him in the run game but had no idea he was effecting the passing game as much as he was. Yeah pretty safe bet we’re missing him too. I also think we’re missing Jourdan Lewis a lot.

I was at the playoff game when we lost to the Rams. Dlaw got smoked by their blocking scheme all night long. I wondered if it was him or the coaching. Dlaw is on the list of solid players we had that didn’t have the culture or coaching to be really great.

Spot on! Dallas needed the DTs they have now to go with Lawrence and Parsons.

The problem isn’t that we got rid of Lawrence. The problem is that we didn’t have a good backup plan.

He did the SAME thing in dallas and was talked down about for lack of sacks

But when he moves to Sea everyone has common sense and says well sacks arent everything

Doesn't this speak to a systemic culture issue in Dallas?

Lawrence all but eviscerated the culture in our locker room on the way out the door and most fans mocked him for it

I think he (and the others who have made similar comments in recent years) are closer to the truth than most fans would care to admit
:hammer:

Just because DFlaw had that TD in the last game doesnt mean he is a THE contributer or a gamechanger there.

He plays not more than 45% of the defensive snaps. Seattle has a good and deep DL rotation. DFlaw there is not someone special. He is just another guy who fills a spot.

I was won over by D Law. He's an awkward leader and as others have noted, he's not a 10 sack/year guy. But for the most part he's available and he does try to show up in big games. That defensive effort in the first 2022 playoff game was pretty damn good.

My bottom line is that he's better than everyone we have now...maybe save a promising Eze.

We carried a $7.4m dead money cap hit this year for tank.

Next year we have our last big pile of dead money hitting the cap. Zack Martin, $16.5m

Oh, and Mazi. $1.6m

Was tank tanking because of the performance of the quarterback in Dallas?
