News: Demarcus Lawrence To Be Suspended For Failed Drug Test

I sit here and just dont get it. Someone please explain to me what is going thru these players minds!!!!!! What a disgrace this team is.

Welp...not a fan of drafting for need but looks like I have to be good with the Bosa selection and possibly a 2nd round DE selection.

Edit: Have the Cowboys AND Greg Hardy hit rock bottom making a reunion possible?

So draft another guy who isn't smart enough to stay away from drugs that can end his football playing career? Yeah, no. If an offensive tackle is on the board you take him. If not, take the running back.

Not the best of websites, but could be the 2nd player JJT was talking about.

Dallas Cowboys starting defensive end Demarcus Lawrence will be suspended for a failed offseason drug test, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told Chat Sports on Wednesday.

Lawrence tested positive for amphetamines, according to the source, which typically carries a penalty of four games. The Cowboys are expected to make an announcement regarding the suspension within the next 24 hours.

Lawrence, the No. 34 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, played in all 16 games (13 starts) for the Cowboys in 2015. He tallied 8.0 sacks and 55 tackles on the season, finishing the year with a sack in seven-straight games.

The Boise State product played in only seven games as a rookie after suffering a fractured right foot in training camp. Lawrence had a strong showing in the postseason, however, recording two sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. In the Cowboys' wild card playoff game with the Detroit Lions, Lawrence's sack and fumble recovery with less than a minute to go punched Dallas' ticket into the next round.

Chalk up another RKG on the Cowboys!!! :flagwave::flagwave::clap:

Is this an automatic ban due to the nature of the substance or does this mean game has already failed multiple tests already?

This blows but there is no need to draft for desperation. The team can get a very good DE like Dodd or Ogbah in the 2nd round and a guy like Jason Jones can still be signed. Also Spence will likely be on the board if they move down to 15 with TN.

They can fill the four games DLaw and Gregory are out with guys like Mayowa and David Irving, that isn't good but it doesn't justify forcing a bad pick in the top five either.

Bosa at 4 is not a reach

Given that this is the time of year for smokescreens and misdirection - like the report Myles Jack only has one leg - it would be funny if this one website post is BS.

well there goes another 8 and 8 year or worse with built in excuses to keep the same bunch in control .

I can see it already. Teams will be steamrolling this defense and running up the score. Romo will be winging it like never before. One bad hit and he is toast. At lease get another top 5 pick out of it!!!

Our 2nd and 3rd rd picks from 2 years ago (Lawrence) and our 2nd rd pick last year (gregory) both can't stay on the field due to drugs and it is at the position we need the most help at already. Geeze!

This certainly will affect who they take at #4. Bosa is the pick - unless they trade down.

Not sure but I think it will fall under PED.

Don't know if that's still where they classify adderall.

Is this being reported anywhere else? God I hope this is bullsh

It is so freaking easy to not get caught in the NFL's drug policy. To get busted, either you are stupid, addicted, or don't care.
