The concern I have isn't just about being suspended for the 1st 4 games this year.
What makes these sting so much is the fact that both guys would have now failed 4 drug test and the next one will be a year long suspension.

This means that we can't count on either for the foreseeable future.

Eli will be able to take a nap in the pocket in week 1.

And pass rushers take years to develop, so the draft won't help much next season.

I know, what kind of clueless, self-entitled idiot do you have be to fail FOUR drug tests? These guys just don't get it -- between Hardy last year, and the idiocy taking place this year, it is getting very hard to root for this bunch.

I picked him in the thread that came out last week where JJT said something was coming down. gold start for me.:).

I won't say calm down for sure, this is getting extremely frustrating, and it hurts the team to not have these two.

A silver lining would be that in the first 4 games we aren't facing a murderer's row of QB's (Eli is the best by far) and it's not like it's an injury to these two guys, they will stay fresh and working out, hopefully able to hit the ground running game 5.

I'd say these two suspensions individually are far less impactful to the team than the Scandrick injury last year.

However injuries can't be avoided. Stupid personal mistakes like these are.

I see these as worse because they're self-inflicted. And because now both players are very much at risk of missing considerable time should they screw up again.

This team is being held hostage by these players' carelessness and ignorance.

Google Demarcus Lawrence and you see nothing but this article. Bleacher Report isn't even jumping on this. I won't believe it till I see something legit.

yup this Matt Connolly guy put the story out. looked at his twitter and facebook .. not much

I'm glad you feel this way too. I was worried we'd be getting a "calm down" post.

In fairness, you've got a history of occasionally worrying about things that don't ever come to happen. I call it like I see it, like I always do. At this point, we've got McClain, Scandrick, Gregory, and possibly Lawrence that are all at a point in the program where they'll miss huge parts of the season the next time they puff or take a pill. Granted, we brought Gregory and McClain in knowing there were issues in advance. But Scandrick and Lawrence are another matter.

I don't know if these rumor are true or not but if they are then once again stop saying drugs are no big deal, it must be a big deal if a player is willing to risk their career over it. That goes for drinking as well if you are to the point that the drug or alcohol is affecting your life and you continue then that is a problem.

It's not chemically addictive but it can still be addictive, like people who get addicted to other things like computer games, sex, gambling, etc.

Your boy Garrett continues to build a team of RKGs and players who just love football lol

Im not sure he failed four tests. You have to fail four weed tests to be suspended, but I thought the first HGH test was a suspension.
