Here it is folks, Being Easter weekend I can reveal why the turn for Judas. I gave him 30 silver coins. MUAHAHAHA.

Seriously, reading the conversation back and forth, it sounded more like Judas feels TO was cut out as an excuse for Romo, not because cutting TO was the right football move. Most of the frustration I see in his posts are directed at Romo. and that probably comes from his original strong support of Romo, and Romo's end of year issues.

but that's just my two cents.
That's a quick assessment, but you'll need to do a little more digging in the forum's archives to get a better grasp of the change itself.

Honestly my dislike is mainly for the general Cowboy fan, and this started during the Quincy years.

Like I've said before, I've never seen a player treated as badly as I'd seen Quincy treated back in the day and to this very day.

Fans hated this guy and this was before they found out about the drugs, and to this day, they can't leave this guy alone. I used to hear all the time from other fans of teams, they would say that we are the most fake fans in the NFL and that ticked me off.

But after being on the Zone since 2004, finally joining and posting since 2005, all I've seen over the years is how horrible the interior of our fan base is.

Fans like to discuss everything except the bottom line. You want my honest opinion about TO, I don't care for him personally. I wouldn't hang out with the guy, I wouldn't go to lunch with him, he's not my type of guy.

But on the field, I want that guy on my side because he BRINGS IT ON THE FIELD. Fans didn't care about a player helping us, they cared about what TO was saying. Honestly, WHO GIVES A FLIP?

The fans wanted someone to blame, and without even trying to be subjective about the situation, they instantly turned on the guy as soon as the media said he said something about Witten and Romo. ESPN knew what would happen if they did this and it worked. It's like a woman yelling rape cause she knows the cops will automatically believe her.

My beef wasn't with TO being cut, my beef was with how the fans turned on someone who did nothing wrong, his crimes were occasionally *****ing about play calling, who stinking cares? Everyone on this board complains about something, but if TO does it, he's satan.

Meanwhile, for years all I did was make excuses for players who didn't execute on the field, and I'm sick of doing that. Since you like pulling up the past, how about you pull up the past where I was one of the first one's to say Romo would be a great QB?

I loved Romo even though he had horrible play on the field and I'm sick of doing that with players. If a player does it consistently and without a fan making excuses for him, I will support that player. But if a player has a couple of good games, then sucks for 2 and so on, I will torch that player.

Unlike most of the fans of this board and around the Cowboy land, I don't judge players on what they say, what they do off the field "unless it's illegal", who they date, if they are gay or straight, religious or not, black or white, slow or fast, ugly or cute "definitely". I judge them by what they do on the field, you guys should actually try it.

Thats what its really about.

Oh, I think it's much simpler than that, hoss-- look at the name he chose when he decided to stop posting as Clove... calling himself Judas tells me that he knew he was gonna tick off a lot of people, that he INTENDED to tick off a lot of people...

Knowing that, the only logical conclusion is he decided to start playing the troll, presumably because he thought it would be amusing... this reinforced by his expressed opinion of Cowboys fans; why would anybody continue to post in a forum filled with so many people that he has contempt for?? Answer-- he's trying very hard to annoy them...

Well, I like guys like "pops" "sarge", "theogt" mammacita or however you spell her name, I like woodysgirl, yeager, and reality. I actually like bob sacamano, at least you know he's crazy, speaking of crazy, I like crazycowboy because at least he admits he's a blind homer.

Their are a few others I like including the guy I argue with all the time, rampage. I like a lot of people around here, but I don't respect a lot these people as fans, I don't know them personally, but as fans, I don't have much respect for a lot of people around here because I personally don't think a true fan turns on players who seriously helps the team.

If you want to trash someone who completely sucks, by all means, have at it.

But you have no problem trashing Romo. Yeah he does not help the team at all. If it were not for Romo Dallas has seven or eight rings now. Got it.

you were talking negatively of Emmitt Smith just a few pages back! how about the negative talk from you saying we'll be lucky to win 8 games? but yet, you talk trash to me because I label Emmitt as the best running back ever... not once have I posted anything bad about anyone on the Cowboys(except Procter and Carpenter), but yet you see yourself as a better fan?

WOW!

Fair enough.
I guess I thought my initial part, coupled with being a Skins fan would lighten it up a little, and then added my simple reflection of what was posted here.

If you support players who work their butts off and plays very well on the team, then you're a good fan.

If you support a guy who constantly screws up in games, then you're a horrible fan.

Being pissed at fan behavior is no reason to be the Negative Nancy you have been lately. You're pissed at the players? Fine. You're pissed at the front office? Fine. You're pissed at the fans? Um, what does that have to do with your attitude toward the team? When you first started with the negative stuff, I thought it was a joke, but I guess you're dead serious. A lot of folks complain about homers (I'm a self-professed one), but being a hater is just as annoying. With your newfound Cowboys hatred laced as reality, your play-by-play will be interesting this coming season to say the least.
I'm torn on whether to do it, I may be on too many ignore lists for people to follow but if I do it, I will be very professional and not comment on anything personal until the game is over.

But it would also be fun to just sit back and post about the game as I see it. We'll see.

Also, I'm not a hater of the Cowboys , I have so much Cowboy stuff in and around my house, I'll always love the Cowboys. And as far as being negative, or whining or whatever words you all chose to use, I simply give you my opinion based on what I've seen, and based on what I've seen, I then give my opinion on what I think will happen, I could be right or wrong, but it's my opinion.

Below would be all of the players I've responded about and my opinion of that person or fan.

Example -
Pros -Romo = He's a solid teammate, solid arm, plays pretty loose, has great escapability, pretty nifty on 3rd downs.

Cons-Romo = Not prepared - bad accuracy at times - fumbles when sacked - interceptions trying to do things he can't do - soft mentality - doesn't show up in do or die games.

Austin - Pros = Sort of fast
Cons = Can't get seperation when he's locked down properly - doesn't adjust to the ball in the air well - just doesn't get opened

Roy Williams - pros = Tall - Great hands
cons = can be locked down with one corner, can't get speration on a regular basis - gives up when not being thrown too

Ratliff - pros = fast/strong/great getting off blocks
cons = him playing NT in a 3-4 is like hunting lions with a pocket knife, not a good idea.

Emmitt - heart, soul, quick, clutch, great football player.
cons - inferior to Barry Sanders as a pure runner.

Newman - pros - fast - great anticipation - great teammate
cons - can't make a play on the ball - overrated by Cowboy fans

Barber - strong - extremely tough - pretty quick - great hands - great teammate

cons - not explosive at all - too much punishment - just isn't elite.

HOF wr- pros - Explosive - dynamic - extremely fast - game-changer - hard worker- touch down machine - incredibly strong while running with the ball

cons - whines & complains - doesn't shut his mouth about staff even if it's true - average to below average hands - will sometimes alligator-arm a catch to prevent getting blown up - gets frustrated when fans boo him and loses concentration

Jerry Jones - Brilliant marketer - incredible owner, go get'er type - fan friendly - media friendly - bring great exposure to the team

cons - horrible GM - ego bigger than the team - listens to fans too much - liar.

Jason Garrett - pros - none
cons - sloppy offense - horrible game day coach - horrible audible coach - horrible game manager - horrible game plans - horrible player-to-coach interaction - a bit of a snake behind closed doors.

fans - some are great, others are hateful and ego driven. Some are unbiased, most are not. It's hard to find a fan that is completely unbiased all players on the team.

For the record, I've never said bad things about players like Witten or Ware because these guys bring it every Sunday.

Now does that sound like hating or whining, or does it sound like someone who's giving an honest opinion based on facts as the events uncover?

Telling the truth shouldn't make you a hater.

wooooooooow you got some nerve being a T.O. fan who does the same thing.

and yet Emmitt was a more complete back who could block and get tough yards unlike Barry Sanders.

I'm not a TO fan, I'm a cowboy fan. And BTW, all players have pros and cons, I can actually be subjective about a player though, you and your buddies can't.

I call it like I see it, fake people cover up things.

i've been subjective about plenty of our players. here's a few just so you believe me

Romo- needs to protect the ball better

Oline- neds to run and pass block better especially in December/January/hopefully february

Witten- him and flo need to stop getting stupid false start penalties

Crayton- needs to shut up and stop being so unclutch

Garrett- needs to improve dramatically next season or be fired

D-Ware- needs to get more phsyical ala Shawn Merriman and become a leader

Ratliff- needs to gain more weight and stop the run better

Spencer- needs to step up and show if he can be a player in this league or not

Bradie James- needs to cover better

tnew- needs to shut up

Jenkins- needs to stop being a wuss

Hamlin- needs to tackle better and get back to his 2007 form

Wade- needs to be fired.

and that's just a some examples. so I guess i'm not fake

it was a combo of things not just 1 reason. 1 more thing my opinions were based off of the interactions between the 2, there interviews, and body language not espn or any other media reporters.

#1 trying to hard to get him the ball. Jerry/Garrett/Romo all tried to get him the ball way too much that it started to hurt us more than help us. I blame all 4 of them for that.

#2 I don't think he's worth 10-12 million a year anymore. he's still a very good wr but not worth that money imo. it could be used to fix other areas like on defense.

#3 he's not trying as hard as he used to. when he didn't get the ball he'd be barely in the huddle/would block poorly or not at all/ ran sloppyy routes and sometimes gave up on them

#4 their's tension between him and Romo. i'm not getting that from espn i'm getting that from the body language when they talk about each other in interviews

#5 Drama. it always follows him whether he started it or not and he doesn't help it by continuing to talk to the media. setting a bad example to the younger guys on how to be professional.

got more reasons but it's been a little while since i've talked about him getting released. hopefully that's enough for you.

That seems to be a good approach. I really enjoyed your play-by-play, but I don't blame you if you decide to just make comments like everybody else.

judging from stats, there's no doubt at all. the only thing that would keep him out would be not having a ring. however, Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl either...

1. The press elects Hall of Famers.

2. TO has battles with the press.

3. Werder is on the committee, I believe.

Ergo...no soup for you, TO.
