It sucks what happened with Overshown. Hope he gets healthy soon. On the bright side, I'm really delighted about Vaughn. He reminds me so much of Darren Sproles with his shiftiness and his abilities. Considering that we are now a WCO team, a player like him is essential. Especially since he's hard to spot for the defence until he's several yards down field. I think they should not play him next week. Imo, his roster spot is locked, and he should be automatically on the team now.
And just the thing he's been coming in in the third quarter with our worst lines imagine if he was even starting the preseason games in the first quarter little bit better line but I can also imagine him behind our actual starting offensive line and if he's doing this stuff with scrubs he's gonna be productive for us in the regular season...

Not sure why people keep posting like he had a good game. He had one good run. The whole night he had 5 carries for 14 yards, and 1 catch for -1 yard.
Yeah playing behind one of the worst offensive lines ever assembled we're talking about the third quarter is when he's coming in he's not even starting behind the number two is he starting with the thirds and fourths guys that probably not gonna make the team and that's how you're judging him no I saw how he got that touchdown that move the rest of it there was no holes guys were already in the backfield.. Maybe you wanna have a different way to view preseason games when I see these guys flash and I saw him all training camp I see him in practices I've seen him in college and now he's done the same types of things in preseason now you can just close your eyes and imagine him with the number one offensive line with Prescott back there and all the skill players taking their attention off of him and actually have game planning you're gonna see the guy you've been seeing when he's flashed he's literally playing with very little blocking in front of him imagine the number one offense when he gets to actually play when they're actually scheming and it's not vanilla...

Some of you really just don't know how to judge and evaluate talent this kid has done nothing but prove himself at every level and I I'm already happy with what I've seen.. Yes he literally had one carry for 14 yards and then the other ones we're behind the line of scrimmage the defense was already back there he could do nothing.. You know Barry Sanders had a playoff game where he averaged -1 I've seen players like him you know like Kamara and whatnot hey Christian McCaffrey sometimes that's what happens when you have a players that need a little space and there's none there..

Those making excuses there weren’t any holes are just looking for excuses. Some games there aren’t going to be any holes, but a back still has to find a way to make a positive gain.

He's not making the 53. Move on.
He's making the 53 and he will be active for 70% of the games this year that's a lead pipe lock. I don't know what you think you're seeing but I know what I've seen in college training camp and so far in preseason playing behind the third offensive line sprinkled in with some 4th stringers that won't even be here imagine what he can do with the number one offensive line when they're actually game planning and all the other stars are on the field taking attention away where they can't just key on the guy... I don't know where you guys think you're getting your evaluations from this man is on the roster 100% no doubt..

Friendly bet ? I believe he is a lock to make the 53
Like I’ve said, the Joneses made far too big a deal drafting him for him not to make the 53. They’ll find a role for him. They have him returning KOs and they’ll design a few plays for him to try and give him some space.

Kinda how I feel. They post about the boom plays and ignore the bust plays. He is far from proving that he is a sure thing yet imo
you mean ignore the bus place like all the other smaller backs who like to make a lot of moves like Barry Sanders you know how many games he did that how many plays that he did that did he have a playoff game once where he had a - 1 yards per carry I mean is that what you're trying to do you're trying to tell me that there's no other running backs in the NFL who are big and they have a big name that have that problem like saquon Barkley Barry Sanders Alvin Kamara Christian McCaffrey these guys need a little space before they can get going they're not power backs but they all have that same issue now and again and this was behind the 3rd and 4th string offensive line playing vanilla offense and yes I'm yelling so here's this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's some clueless people in our fan base and in general who are not really watching what they should be watching.....

who cares about the stats that you see that run did you see the runs the week before??? having you watched him in training camp and did you see him have 5000 scrimmage yards in college one of only three players in his school's history the others Lockett and sproles, thats talent in the NFL. so how about we stop being so clueless....th this kid he makes this roster 100%...

BTW TP ddi alot of that his first two seasons as he got feel for the NFL and the offense,. had some flops.. TP had 4 games under 3 yards per carry, against Washington, both games under 2 YPC. lets stop acting like NFL RBs dont games like that.... and this was a PS game with 3rd and 4th string OL blocking in front of him,..

There is certainly something at play here.
Personally, I think Jerry fell in love with the media hype around the whole draft story. He got and continues to get national media attention about him. The PR folks Im sure are pumping him up to the media. And we know that the local media are lap dogs to Jerry.
And Im sure some of the more ardent posters here have some agenda as well. Not sure who exactly, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Clearly MM has a different take on things. Duece hasnt seen action in the first half of either of these games. And the spin? They are saving him for the regular season? How does that even make sense?
I wont get into a breakdown of his performance last night. Ive apparently hurt too many feelings already. But Duece as the offensive player of the game for both preseason games? Thats just beyond embarrassing. And ya'll thought the Seattle announcers were bad? Jones, Steinback and Youman are awful. Id be curious to know what their bonus is for each time they mention Duece or talk about him. Makes for a fun drinking game though.
Who cares? Take your personal argument to the personal messages. It’s boring to read an “I told you so” argument, and one member accusing another. Get over yourselves. Both of you.

Dont read it then. Easy enough. I know that facts are hard for some to comprehend.

I expect Vaughn will look different vs the ones (but also ones on the oline I understand). I like players like this…they have a role in today’s game more than they did 20 years ago. The question is can their bodies hold up.

Hey man. No reason to yell. Lol. I was not hating on him or any one of my fellow fans. At the end of the day I want him to succeed. My point was and still is that none of us can be sure until we see it in real games during the season. College success doesn't always mean NFL success and there are many examples of it and vice versa. So I need to see more of him, and yes part of that is seeing him behind our starting OL.

Anyway man. We both want the same thing. I just need to see it first.

Duece reminds me of Emmitt Smith in that he doesn’t give the defender a clean shot. Vaughn could be one of the bigger surprises on offense this season.
