Thus a gadget player. We already knew that.
Thus a gadget player. We already knew that.
Thus a gadget player.
Just got a young rescue Bully that only wieghs 19 lbs, but has the strength of a titan.
Like an entire muscle with legs.
Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon say hello. Cowboys fans dream of having our RBs.
So what do you predict his rushing/receiving totals will be this season? He may end up being a pretty good player for the Cowboys, but if you think he’s going to set the league on fire, you’re going to be sadly mistaken. I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of complaining on this board from fans that don’t think he’s getting enough touches. Then again, there may not be much complaining if he doesn’t do anything with the touches he does get.
Don't know about the comparison to Gibbs, but every time I saw tape of Deuce it was his receiving skills that stood out for me. He caught the ball smoothly and naturally. He *received* it.A few of us were talking in the offseason about Gibbs' ability in the passing game. But I didn't realize until we drafted him that Vaughn has just as much receiving ability as Gibbs.
Maybe he can coach our RBs.His dad worked with him when he was very young with the pass catching out of the backfield.
Several videos floating around. A few of us were talking in the offseason about Gibbs' ability in the passing game. But I didn't realize until we drafted him that Vaughn has just as much receiving ability as Gibbs. It's going to be fun watching him out there if he makes the team, and I think he will.
Yep they said these things about Emmitt Smith also. If we are so lucky Deuce would be like him.Deuce Vaughn has heard this his whole life. And who knows maybe someday some player will clock him and terminate his career. But they are going to have to catch him first. And so far, he has made a ton of defenders look silly trying to get after him. It's not just the burst he has, not just the vision for exploiting holes, but it's that low center of gravity and fitting between tight spaces that is going to drive defenses nuts. You'll see it this season - watching defenses grow tired and frustrated trying to stop him.
Cowboys rookie RB Deuce Vaughn: “Being a professional athlete is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little kid. To be out here, to be playing with guys who have been in this league for so long, just trying to soak it all in, trying to be a sponge. Every single day is a day to get better. It’s been a dream come true. Understanding that the work is still to be put in, but, man, I’m having a great time. ... ... I represent the lollipop guild....the lollipop guild....the lollipop guild.”
Well what we can hope for more is that the offensive line and a fullback and the scheme and the design of the play will help the run game be more effective,It would be a mistake to do that with Polard, but it’s all going to come down to how our RB situation evolves. Not only is he coming off a serious injury, but he’s also coming off a career high in carries last season. What made him effective is keeping him fresh. That’s what made Marion Barber and Felix Jones effective was keeping them fresh. Once we made the workhorses, they weren’t as effective. We have to hope we have a back who will have success between the tackles in short yardage situations and can punch it into the endzone from close up.
